This hotel company has 3 separate properties. Stayed at the "budget" property called Volcano Hale. It was very clean and comfortable. Sleeps 2 per room only. It is a renovated 1912 house with nice rainforest gardens around it. There is a common kitchen and living/dining room area with shared renovated bathrooms. The soundproofing between rooms isn't the best but the atmosphere was delightful. No restaurant but you can make your own (bring supplies) in the morning in the well equipped kitchen. Good value if you don't mind sharing bathrooms. Would stay there again.

"Hostel in a nature setting"
A safe peaceful clean natural environment. Vegetarian community kitchen. Interesting fellow guests and staff. Our room, Yoga Hale 1, had a small roof leak that dripped on my head when sleeping. The bedding was clean, but the mattress was rather broken down, think roll to the middle when two are sleeping. The rain water system was not adequate for the number of people, but my hair loved it. Some cold showers. Drinking filtered water system was not clearly explained, however I didn't get sick even though I drank unfiltered water from the kitchen tap. I would bring bottled water or our backpacking water filter for drinking and would stay again.

"No fan or real door "
No fan or good door for the bathroom, not great to have to run the water while doing your business, seem's like it would be cheaper to have a fan.

"Wonderfu Stay"
Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the cottage. Cottage was charming and comfortable. The owner was pleasant and informative. Would definely stay here again. Is a bargain for the money. We were very close to Volcano park. The only draw back is there are very few choices of restaurants in the area and it is a long way to Kona or Hilo.

"Nice condo very clean."
Loved everything about it except the one room had twin beds instead of a queen and the sofa a bed was in bad shape missing lots of springs very uncomfortable. But the condo itself was amazing and close to the beach.

"Fantastic location."
We stayed 2 nights at Royal Kona, room 178 on the ground floor. Excellent location right on the water. The bathroom was a bit run-down with '70s type decor. Room basic but functional. Wi fi for $10/day worked well for a Skype meeting I had. Parking was convenient and an additional $10/day. Beds were comfortable. There was a small refrigerator. Easy 5 minute walk to the waterfront and historical sites in Kailua-Kona. But the amazing location overlooking the ocean was the best part!

"Good for.someone.who wants peace and quiet"
Very peaceful, just the sounds of nature and an occasional windchime. No TV in the rooms but they do have WIFI if you need to stay connected. Organic food for breakfast! This would be great for people wanting to go on retreat. I really enjoyed my stay and have already told some of my friends.

"Stay at the Palace "
Rebecca was an amazing host and extremely accommodating. Private room and bathroom very modern and kept extremely clean. If you enjoy local fruit smoothies, you'll love having breakfast out on the lanai which overlooks Captain Cook bay. Highly recommend Rebecca and her unreal B and B for a unique luxury local experience
