"Functioning hotel near Times Square"
Stayed here for seven nights. Hotel staff were polite and informative as we checked in and during our stay. Room had a kingsize bed, with a decent view of NYC hells kitchen. Blinds kept the light and noise out to an absolute minimal - you often here the sirens of emergency services go by, but that is to be expected staying in the city. Breakfast was adequate, a range of options on the table. We ate there most mornings. However, my one complaint is seating. For the volume of guests at the hotel, there are only a handful of tables in the lobby, so being able to sit was often a problem. Enjoyed my experience.

"Impressive "
I stayed at the Tracel Inn and I have to say was very impressed. We were stuck in NY becuase of the blizzard everything was canceled and we could not get on the Peter Pan Bus ride home. We were staying at a 5 star hotel that was all booked and could not accommodate us. I found 3 double bed rooms at the Travel Inn and the young lady checked us in EARLY she was so nice and accommodating. We were all wet and freezing becuase we had to walk to the hotel. They got us into our room immediately without hesitation. The rooms were clean. Two of the three rooms had been updated with new furnishings and appliances. One of the three although did not have the updated look the others did was clean.. I would definitely stay there again! It's location is well centralized and it was reasonably priced.

Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Its western half is home to Manhattan's largest venues: the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden. In the Garment District, designers try to stay a cut above fashion's latest trends. Nearby, Hell's Kitchen is hot thanks to Restaurant Row. In one block on West 46th, diners can dash from Bangkok to Brazil.
