"Rooms very nice - clean and modern. Great and quick hot water pressure even on 14th floor. One of the two main elevators not working, but there is two others, but none very quick. Housekeeping was great and quick on our requests, as was maintenance for the non-functioning remote. Friendly front desk staff. Small fyi that they do not have umbrellas to loan on rainy days (not sure if hotels do that or just shown in Hollywood movies)"

"Perfect location within easy walking distance to several Broadway theaters. The interior could some tlc but overall felt that our room was clean. For the most part didn’t hear much exterior city noise but there was some loud music from a club or something we could hear from our room for part of the night. Would choose to stay here again. "

"Our stay at Civilian was just what we needed. Incredibly close to Times Square, Broadway shows, and the areas around Manhattan. We have no complaints. The rooms were modest, but large enough to accommodate us for our short stay. We would love to visit again soon! "

"The front desk staff was beyond courteous. I got there name in hopes they get recognition. Nicole,Chole, Anton, Kevin, Jackie. I had 3 small high energy boys and they were all so kind and helpful with getting them settled. We were there for the Thanksgiving Day Parade and Nicole and Chole help decide the clothes to wear being outdoors waiting for the parade to start. The room was very clean . I didn't smell any hint of cigarette smoke in the halls. the only issue was the security guard ,He was rough asking me for a key as soon as I walked in. I told him I was a "guest" and he didn't believe me he tried to halt my way to the desk. I was with my 2 young kids. It was 5am. The overnight front desk guy instantly confirmed we were guest. The hotel was an absolute GREAT STAY!"
