Independent, 3 star Hotels in Rotorua

Lovely hosts very central place highly recommend to anyone. Wouldn't stay anywhere else

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lake Lodge B & B. Beds comfy, rooms were great and the location was terrific - very central and in close proximity for Lake walks. Would stay here again

Second stay at Fairy Springs and the owners have changed. Its a fantastic motel and right next to luge. Def stay again

Great stay for a low price. The first night in room 12 was a bit hot as it faces the evening sun (and its been an acceptionaly hot year...) but sue was happy to move me to a room on the other side which was aircon'd. Overall excellent and friendly staff and a great little hotel. Very clean and well equipped rooms. Will book again

Although the facilities are not something new, it is all well maintained and the jet pool is fantastic! a place you can visit with kids, and a place i surly will return to.

Spacious room, we were upgraded by the lovely receptionist and felt very well looked after. We plan to go back and use the same hotel because we felt so welcomed!

The owners were able to tell us what to see and do, we had accommodation in Auckland also and coming to rotorua was a breath of fresh air. I would come and stay again, it was within our budget and comfortable for our stay

The two pools that the description refers to actually contain: (a) Hot sulfur/mineral water that made short work of some itches I developed on my journey - this "skin healing" stuff really works! (b) Warm and spacious body of fresh water - very pleasant and relaxing. I walked all through central Rotorua from the motel. Excellent location: close to everything, yet tucked into a quiet street. A parking space for a car you'd need to explore the greater Rotorua and surrounding areas. Tour buses do pick-ups and drop-offs there. The "room" turned out to be a full apartment, with beds for five people and real kitchen. The design and decor were not of hotel/motel variety but rather of a regular family dwelling. I found it charming. It was a "home away from home". Breakfast evoked same feeling - not a fancy hotel stuff but something you'd eat at home, prepared by someone who really cares about you. And the "free one laundry load" was a rare blessing. Once again, complete home feel, not a hotel trying to make mega-bucks on tourists' underwear. The owners tried hard to make the tenants feel at home - and to a large degree succeeded (my home doesn't have a smell of sulfurous mineral water - a Rotorua "hallmark" :)
