Two rooms had been booked. One wasn't ready until well after 3pm. I had given my credit card details as security and agreed, when asked by reception, that the cost of both rooms go on it. The first I knew there was a surcharge for that was when the payment showed up on my banking app! That should not happen! The staff were all very pleasant and I got an apology- but no refund of the charge. The rooms are
spacious and the beds comfortable, but the hotel really needs a refurb - particularly the bathrooms.

The room was great. Check-in was chaos. The lobby of this hotel is messy and cluttered. It was a bit concerning when we checked in as the lobby does not represent the rooms well. The guy at the front desk was helpful but did not seem professional. Parking was horrible. I would stay there again but only in a pinch.

This is the best street to have a wonderful choice of restaurants. Delicious food and friendly staff. In the city and after dinner you can walk a short way down to the river and take a stroll to soak up Lake Rotorua.
