"Nice room close to Volcano N. P."
The room was nice and clean. The hosts were very gracious and helpful with tips for restaurants, activities, etc. The end of the road is a very quiet place, you hear the birds singing, but it rains every day. Breakfast was adequate with 1/2 of a papaya, coffee, tea, juice, and toast, waffles, bagels, or banana bread according to your order.

"Best location to shop and relax and eat!!"
Got to Kona around 9:15 and my sister and I were placed in a room pretty quickly. Room had a great view and we immediately made us some decaf Kona coffee. Delicious. Woke up from a great nights rest with the sun shining and a beautiful view of the pier. Shopped on Alii Drive and enjoyed Splashers for breakfast and dinner. Overall a great time. Came back June 29 and stayed one night to catch our flight back home. Thank you Kona Seaside for an amazing couple nights stays. We will always return to Seaside Hotel.

Really nice hotel staff with clean rooms. Staff is extremely helpful and work extremely hard to keep this older hotel clean. Parking situation can be tough depending on where your room is and how far you have to carry your luggage. The little beach area across the street was a highlight for my daughter and I. I would definitely stay again in the future.

"First night in Hawaii"
After a very long day of flying, me and my wife were very pleased when we walked into our spacious and extremely comfortable and accommodating room. The next morning, we enjoyed a deluxe breakfast in an open lanai style room. And was treated with the presence of one of Hawaii's beautiful native birds. We definitively would stay here again. Thanks to the staff who was very helpful in every aspect. Patrick and Chandra Hubbard.

"Soft jumpy bed, nice view"
Hilo is not as touristic as it was. The hotel has seen better days. For the price is OK. Nice bay views, remodeled bathroom and nice bed and TV. Everything was clean in the room. A bit noisy, depending on other guests.

"Wonderful cottage feel, 10 min to Kilauea. "
Great B&B. Nice breakfast with cold/hot cereal, different types of toast, fresh local fruit, etc. Kistchy cottagey, welcoming feel. On a farm, roosters wake you up to remind you to get up to see the nearby (10 min drive) active volcano in time for watching the sun rise up over it. 45 min drive from Hilo airport. Very friendly & interesting owner. Great to chill, if desired, around the table in the dining room to discuss travels with other guests or read in the well appointed library. Free internet. Quite clean, not sparkling (i.e. Hard to reach places a little dusty- didn't bother me). Great base camp for exploring the big island.

"Beutiful isolation"
Great hotel. Great gold. Beutiful beach, too rocky to swim but breathtaking. Turtles come right up on beach. Tourists are stupid and bother them. :( only issue terrible internet and no TV in room
