This is not a big resort hotel, which was very pleasant. More of a small-town feel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Big lobby with lots of room to lounge and socialize, although clearly under-used. The room was on the small side, but had a comfy king size bed. WiFi worked perfectly, which is not always the case in hotels!
I was there for a business meeting, so only stayed one night. I was very impressed, though, and told my husband I'd found a place to stay next time we go for vacation. Will definitely return.
If you want serenity, this is the place. The house is on the top of the hill overlooking Hilo. There are only 4 rooms for rent. We knew other people were staying there but we never heard anyone. The room was clean & the bathroom had been recently updated. We will definitely stay here again.
I have never felt so welcomed and appreciated by everyone on staff as I felt at Naniloa, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels.
It's not the most up-to-date hotel, and the rooms could have used a good reading chair besides the desk chair, but the rooms were modern and elegant.
This is now my hotel in Hilo, HI. I will be back! :)
My studio room was gorgeous and spacious. The view from the pool is astounding! I woke up early and walked down to the black sand beach and enjoyed it all to myself. Just don't forget to take food with you!
