Wild Wadi is a fun-filled, state-of-the-art water park offering 30 different rides and attractions catering for all ages. The park’s theme is the Legend of Juha, a character from traditional Arabian folklore who travelled around the world with Sinbad the Sailor, living exciting adventures and facing fearsome challenges.
If you’re feeling brave, the park’s centrepiece ride, Jumeirah Sceirah, is for you. Climb the 32-metre tower and step into the capsule awaiting you, then the countdown begins. Suddenly the floor will fall away and you will find yourself plunging down the 120-metre slide, reaching speeds of up to 80 kilometres an hour. The ride features twin slides running side by side, so you can race a friend to the bottom.
Travel along the Flood River on a one-person inflatable tube, and you will never know when the next 100,000 litre water surge will hit. You’ll suddenly find yourself riding waves over one metre high and wild river rapids.
Test your balance and skill at on the Wipeout and Riptide Flowriders. Over seven tonnes of water per second are blasted out over a moulded foam structure to create the ultimate surfing waves – perfect for body-boarding.
Families with younger children will love Jura’s Dhow and Lagoon. This play area is packed with over 100 activities such as water guns, dumping buckets and racing slides. Juha’s Journey is another gentle ride perfect for all ages. Float along this 360 metre river in an inflatable tube, basking in the sun and admiring the view around you.
Don’t miss the Wadi Washed sound, light and water show which takes place throughout the day. You’ll be treated to a spectacular re-creation of a flash flood, with over 53,500 tonnes of water cascading down a cliff face while lightning bolts flash and claps of thunder echo all around.
Wild Wadi is open daily, but times vary according to the season, so check the park’s official website before you visit. A reduced entrance fee is offered within the last two hours before closing. The park is located on the Jumeirah Beach Road, approximately 30 minutes’ drive from Dubai International Airport. Free parking is available on site.
