"The Oriental Hotel Universal City was an amazing hotel with all amenities required for a great experience. Its location is of great convenience, with Universal City station a 30 second walk away and with plenty of nearby shops for food and souvenirs. The hotel is also a minute walk away from Universal Studios Japan. All together an amazing hotel that provides a daily breakfast buffet and hot dog vouchers for throughout your stay."

"The rooms were cozy, clean and included everything you would need when on vacation. The washer in our unit allowed us to launder our clothes during a long trip but just know that you will have to hang up the clothes to dry using the built in drying unit in the bath/shower. It took us a while to figure this out. The public bathhouse and restaurant is in an adjacent building. I highly recommend making use of both. The tonkatsu noodles were delicious. The only negative I had was the eateries were on the other side of the train tracks but within walking distance. We arrived late in the evening and most places were closed so we ended picking up our dinner from the train station 7-11 right before they closed at 8:30 pm. There are plenty of eateries at the Universal Studios theme park area 1 train station down. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, no complaints."

"We got upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely surprise. Our room was luxurious compared to the more budget accommodations we'd been staying at on our trip. We were asked to pay a 400¥ accommodation tax - not a big deal. The only complaint was that we did not have time to enjoy the breakfast buffet and a refund was not possible. Hopefully, someone else was able to enjoy that on our behalf! The hotel is located within walking distance to an outlet mall, if that's what you're into, but if not, there is also a large grocery superstore (like Walmart) also within walking distance to load up on Japanese goods before you board. There is also a Donki, but we could not face the overwhelm again! 😆 You'll definitely want an umbrella if it's raining for both. Catching the shuttle to the airport was easy and fast."
