"This was my 3rd visit to Venice and as it is an old city with old buildings, you must rate it by its own standards. I really wanted to stay in the heart of Venice, and that is why I chose this place. Mario & Esmeralda run a clean, efficient and friendly little B&B. The continental breakfast area is small (having it in your room is an option) but it was fine for the 3 of us. The beds were new and comfy, which was greatly appreciated after a long day sightseeing. As it is a B&B, there is no elevator or lobby, but rooms are private with your own bathroom and locking doors like a hotel room. We appreciated the city orientation and sightseeing suggestions Esmeralda gave us upon arrival, as Venice can be confusing to navigate. We all enjoyed our stay very much!"

"We were given a room that had a small staircase leading up to the bed, which gave us space to leave our suitcase in the landing, keeping the bed area clutter free. we had three windows that let a lot of light in. this is rare in Venice!! the bed was good and firm, bathroom was clean. would stay here again!"

"This is a gorgeous property but not for anyone who does not plan on commuting by boat to do anything than wander its island. The Hotel shuttle costs €15 per person per stay and doesn't start until 9am. I wanted to begin seeing Everything in Venice early so either pay private water taxi or take public boats... which if full.. you have wait for next one. The Staff are wonderful and room gorgeous but if you want to go back forth shopping and such, its just not convenient. "
