"This a little gem! A family run business they take great pride in their rooms. This is a great find for short stay as rooms are very small - but very thoughtfully outfitted with everything you will need. There is great A/C, double windows to keep street noise out, a chair, a small desk, a small refrigerator and comfortable beds with spotless linens. "This is a really nice hotel, a quick walk from the train station. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. It definitely had a luxury feel. The restaurant on the rooftop was very nice and convenient. We walked to the colosseum and stopped at trieste pizza for lunch and used the free now app to order taxis to go everywhere else. Would recommend. "

"Close to the Trevi Fountain. Hard to get in and out with luggage. Roof top bar is nice and good breakfast buffet. Our room you had to step up to the bathroom and was unconvinced at night. "The Beehive is a great place. There were people of all ages (and many solo travellers) from18 year olds to me, 73. People were friendly; there were nightly get-togethers over drinks and snacks; the sheets were lovely, white cotton. I had my own room with sink but shared a bathroom. There were lots of bathrooms with toilets and showers to accommodate all."

The hotel is close to all the tourist attractions, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, etc. It was also close to both cheaper and high-end shopping areas (shopping street at Via Del Corso). "My wife.and I were seeking a hotel close to the train station and I read a number of unsettling Expedia reviews about other hotels in the area.To our delight, none of the complaints I read about for hotels in the area were valid for the Columbia Hotel.
