St Austell
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (1 review)
"My wife and I had a lovely stay in Charlestown at Honeysuckle Cottage for 5 nights. The house is well equipped and 10 minutes walk from the famous historic harbour which we were visiting for the first time. The nearest pub is even closer. There is limited parking outside the cottage but plenty of free street parking nearby. As it was, we were lucky and only once could not park near the cottage. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen. It should be pointed out that this needs emptying of water...

Fowey is a historic port town located on the west bank of the River Fowey estuary. It's characterised by narrow, winding streets, colourful houses, and a busy harbour filled with yachts and fishing boats. The main street, Fore Street, runs through the heart of the town, offering a selection of independent shops, art galleries, and eateries. The town is quite hilly, with many properties offering views over the estuary.

Couples often find Fowey ideal due to its romantic setting and opportunities for scenic walks. You can enjoy strolls along the Esplanade, take a ferry across to Polruan, or explore the South West Coast Path directly from the town. The Fowey Estuary is also great for kayaking or paddleboarding, offering a tranquil way to see the area.

Families looking for a relaxing holiday with plenty to do will also appreciate Fowey. The town has a relaxed pace, and children can enjoy crabbing from the quayside or exploring the rock pools at Readymoney Cove, which is a short walk from the town centre.
