"The lakehouse was exceptional! It was spacious, clean and lovely to look out over the lake. The hot tub was a great bonus and all set up - it was warm enough to use the evening we arrived. There were 8 adults and four bedrooms - the bedrooms were clean and spacious, except for one that was much smaller, had no wardrobe or TV. Would have been nice to have the same set up as the other rooms. The only other thing I would add is that the kitchen could have been better equipped with more ovenware, bowls, saucepans etc. However we had a lovely stay and would definitely return."

"The Hotel is beautiful, and it's location, well within walking distance of the city, is perfect. All the staff were very welcoming and surprised us with a birthday card and present for my daughter which was much appreciated. Our room was on the small side and quite dusty, but the beds were very comfortable and the shower was the best I've seen for a long time! The only thing that let down our stay was the food. There was a very limited late night menu so we ordered soup, which was unfortunately very watery with not much flavour. Breakfast was also disappointing, taking over half an hour to arrive despite being just one piece of toast spread with avocado. We didn't complain as we were only there for one night, the hotel was extremely busy, and everything else was spot on. If you're thinking of staying in Truro, try the Alverton, it's a fabulous place"

"This is our third stay at this lovely hotel, and once again, it has exceeded our expectations. It never fails to impress, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. The location is fantastic, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, with the added bonus of being within easy walking distance of Padstow for a relaxing evening stroll and a meal. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming and attentive, making you feel well looked after throughout your stay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented, with a real attention to detail. Although we didn’t dine in the restaurant on this occasion, we have eaten there on previous visits and found the food and experience to be exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Another thoroughly enjoyable stay. Highly recommended, and we’re already looking forward to returning!"
