"Fabulous one night stay for girlfriend's birthday surprise in the Marakesh room. Great host to greet us upon arrival and provide help with information on the hotel and local area. Beautiful room and setting, with easy access to private parking and just a few mins walk to public transport links. Lovely continental breakfast taken in the courtyard just outside our room.Will definitely return and experience a different themed room."

"Old English charm. Wonderful bedding. Northern friendliness Absolutely faultless except for the awful gazebo in the garden, marring an otherwise perfect view. It didn’t really diminish the pleasure of staying at the Victoria but it would be nice if they got rid of it."

"Because of the fab views of Robin Hoods bay. I took a punt and booked into this old hotel. From walking through the door I was blown away by how the communal areas have been modernised. Even though the staff were obviously busy, I suggest they quickly learn to be a little friendlier/ warm to guests (they weren't bad, just not engaging)."
