While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. "La chambre tait propre et bien aménagée. Elle bénéficierait d'un petit rafraichissement, notemment dans la douche (buses de la tête de douche bouchée par le calcaire). Personnel très sympathique et chaleureux. La piscine ne ressemblait pas aux photos, fonctionnelle mais vieillotte. Le carrelage au sol autour de la piscine est un vrai piège en été, il devient brulant au soleil. Nid de guêpes juste à coté... je n'ai pas aimé mon passage à la piscine."

"The hotel was wonderful. The property itself was very interesting in a brilliant location. What let it down was the state of the bedroom and the bathroom. In a four-star hotel, you do not expect mold in the bathroom and stains and bald spots on the carpets in the bedroom. A nice hotel, a great location, but perhaps a little bit of updating needed in one of the bedrooms."

"The room was clean and staff very helpful. However, the room is very small and the bathroom is a wet room, meaning no separate shower from the rest of the bathroom. The shower wand is not user friendly and we didn’t realize when we turned on the water that it lterally sprayed across the room, wetting our bathroom countertop and personal items. No coffee in the room if you like having a cup first thing in the morning."

"The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the medieval city of Carcassonne. If you are looking for a central hotel at a reasonable price this is the perfect choice. The room was a spacious apartment with separate living/kitchenette and bedroom. The bathroom was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was well furnished and clean. The residents of the hotel were friendly and I think it is a good idea to utilise the spare rooms for hotel guests. The hotel had secure parking as well."

"The hotel has a great view of the castle and the roof top bar is definitely a bonus. The room was clean and have everything we needed however the toilet was in what can only be described as a cupboard with no space at all. The decor was too dark so much so that we couldn’t find the light switches! The carpet was black and when we dropped a black hair brush on the floor it took us 10 Minutes to find it!"
