The hotel has a stop right outside for the local bus which is easy to get on and get off. Right on the water and always a nice walk to the beach. The pool is also well maintained. I was lucky enough to get late check out which was amazing seeing that my flight was in the evening (obviously subject to availability). Breakfast amenities are really good and honestly for my week long stay I couldn’t even finish all the food and the best was when I woke up the 1st morning and found some banana’s delivered to my door to enjoy. I honestly can’t fault anything with my stay at Castaway, I would 100% go back"

"A great place for a family holiday with all you need. Restaurant was top notch for breakfast with something for everyone. Beachside room was basic for the price but quiet most of the time. Beach next door was a better option for us as a busy time of year in August and hotel beachfront very busy with families. Enjoyed the cocktail hour and nibbles. Bus comes into the entrance of hotel every 30 minutes, which is great and no car needed but $5 for each trip so for a family car hire may be more economical."

"Amazing location and, despite a few areas needing attention, we had another wonderful holiday in Rarotonga. First time staying in Muri, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. While our room was starting to show its age and the pool area could benefit from a little maintenance, neither took away from what was a fantastic stay. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout, with a special mention to Jaymie, who was especially friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would happily return."
