"Everdine staff are not all on the same page as to how things work. There was some small issue with our breakfast vouchers one day (not a big deal), the next we were told that we could not get coffee and juice and that it was one or the other and another day we were told there was added charges for requesting cheese in the scrambled eggs. 3 different staff. Also, don’t hold your breath for refills. They won’t exactly offer except for the water. Over all the Everdine service was lukewarm at best. The rest of the hotel staff was warm and welcoming!"

"Beautiful older property, well maintained, great staff. Amazing lobby. Love the TickTock Diner! We arrived in early afternoon and planned to drop our luggage off with concierge, but room was ready and we were able to go up directly. (The front desk gets completely slammed at the regular 4pm check-in time!) The New Yorker hotel is very conveniently located one block from Penn Station and a few blocks from the bus station, and very close to many subway lines, including the A/C/E stations on the same block. We enjoyed walking across town to museums and found the streets very safe with wide bike lanes and a long crossing time at the lights. We will definitely stay here again!"

"Good choice, near Time Square, Clean, Friendly Staff and a Quiet Room for a good night rest. We did miss coffee/tea available in the room however. First Hotel ever that did not provide this basic amenity. Dr. Hendrik and Sandra Venter New Zealand"

"There are a couple of things I would like to address before you book here. My stay was terrible… not only did I feel like I was racially profiled but I was rudely woken up about 3 times in the middle of the night by phone calls and our tv did not work… when we checked in to the hotel where were heading to our hotel room and we were asked to show our key car amongst about three white family. I understand that the security has to ask to check your key which is fine but it becomes excessive to where every time when I went downstairs no one was asked but me and my partner. Another incident happened when all the seats were taken in the lobby keep in mind it was like 90 degrees outside in the city heat and I’ve been walking alot and I needed to charge my phone I asked the bellhop if I could charge my phone in the lobby he told me i could sit and charge it that was fine it’s when another man in a suit came toward my partner and I and was told to stand up because he didn’t want to the owner of the hotel to see that we are sitting on the floor yet again there was also another family (white) sitting on the floor and nothing was told to them it made us uncomfortable. This is also my second stay here there first time we got asked excessively about our key card but we thought it was normal. Now that this is my second stay I see that it’s targeted. I will not be stay here again…"

"Conveniently located near Lincoln Center and Central Park, which was ideal for my 5 and 4 yr olds. It was a super easy walk back after a whole day of exploring Central Park. "
