Fantastic stay at a really great B&B. The house is amazing, great views, really enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the wildlife in the evenings. Quiet and peaceful nights sleeping. Hosts are really friendly and welcoming, breakfast is fantastic! Loved our stay there, hope to go back someday!

Spacious room, very confortable stay and breakfast was lovely. The drive is on an incline so it was tricky to park on arrival, but there is an option to park just outside the property (not on a steep hill) if needed.

Super Hosts
The property is at a height and is very posh. The breakfast was out of the world. The best part is when we said we are vegetarian, Wendy offered us to make a delicious gourmet dish for us which included fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, all from their farm. The fresh fruits included strawberry from their farm. It was an ultimate farm to table experience. Cannot ever forget the raspberry friands which Wendy had prepared. The breakfast spread was super. Thanks a lot to Phil for waiting for us till late in night as our flight was rescheduled. Thanks to both of you Super hosts, we enjoyed the stay at lot.

Wendy and Phil are excellent host. Love the property and it’s amenities. It is very quiet and I would stay there again, especially at the end of a trip to wind down. But highly recommend it no matter where in your trip.

Its a wonderful and very tidy place, nice views and overall it was a good experience staying here, was just missing on tiny things, such as a microwave that can be shared and used by the tenants.

Thank you for your review. We wish to point out we are a bed and breakfast, not a self catering facility. We have never promoted ourselves as anything other than a bed and breakfast. We believe we offer the best experience we can possibly do so as a bed and breakfast and whilst we appreciate your opinion, we would recommend if you wish to stay in a self catering property, perhaps you book such a property next time.

Amazing view
One of the best stays on our visit to New Zealand. We loved relaxing on the balcony in the evening and taking in the view with a glass of wine. Fabulous !!

Top Class Decks.
Decks is a lovely family run B&B with Wendy and Phil being great hosts. About 2 minutes drive and 15 minutes walk from the sea front of Paihia it is ideally situated in a quiet place. Lovely large guest rooms with on suite facilities with nice outside decking area to sit, chill and admire the great views. We stopped for 2 nights and the breakfast we were served on both mornings was really nice with one being served at 06.45hrs due to us going on a day trip. Decks is Top Class.

Beautiful surroundings & wonderful hosts
We had a very special xmas here,couldn't have wished for better.Very friendly, helpful hosts went out of their way to look after us over the 4 nights we stayed. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfasts & luxurious quiet accommodation means we would definitely like to return in the future. Wish weather had been a fraction warmer to try out the beautiful pool, maybe next time.

Great, beautiful, clean BnB in Paihia, NZ. It was a nice, quiet place to relax and stay, while the town is filled with fun excursions to fill the day. The hosts, Wendy and Phil are incredibly nice and go out of their way to help make the stay as great as possible. I would highly recommend this BnB if you plan to visit Paihia!

At The Decks of Paihia the room was spotless with a beautiful bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Host Phil went out of his way for us (thanks for the special sausage) and the breakfast was delicious. Overall a very satisfying experience and would definitely recommend to fellow travellers.

This is a custom built B&B in a very quiet location overlooking the woods and ocean. The owners Wendy and Phil are charming and very helpful (Phil even sourced some Black Pudding for us!). Superb accommodations, lovely patio overlooking the pool and excellent breakfasts

As Good As It Gets
We spent 5 nights at the Decks of Paihia over New Year and what a great place it is to stay. We could not have found more hospitable hosts in Phil and Wendy who made our stay quite wonderful. The Breakfasts were awesome and Phil is a wizard when it comes to cooking eggs. The room was great, but the view, deck and pool is what makes this place extra special. We would highly recommend taking a trip to stay at the Decks of Paihia, you won't be disappointed!

SUPER HOSTS
The room was super clean and the bathroom is fitted with all the latest amenities including a jet bath.The view if the ocean from the balcony is also amazing.The hosts Wendy and Phil are super friendly and their price includes a descent breakfast.I needed a couple of shirts washed and dried which was completed without any payment required. I highly recommend the Deck of Paihia

Excellent Stay
The Decks of Paihia is a small and perfectly formed bed and breakfast above the town. We stayed five nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Our room which overlooked the deck and pool was large, very comfortable and had a lovely ensuite. There were also some very nice extras such as a dvd library and baked biscuits replaced daily. Everything was pristine. Breakfast is served at the communal dining table, a chance to chat to other guests. Bread, cereals, eggs any way you like them and freshly baked frionds (a new thing for us) got each day off to a great start. The frionds changed flavour each day - the strawberry versions edged it for us!! Our hosts Wendy and Phil, really could not have done any more to make our stay better. From booking excursions, tips on restaurants and even dropping us to our 8am bus, nothing was too much trouble. If you like character, cheerfulness and comfort where you stay, look no further!

Fantastic stay with hospitable hosts
This is the first time I've stayed at a luxury bed and breakfast as I usually stay in hotels. I'm so glad I decided to stay at Decks of Paihia. Wendy and Phil were some of the most hospitable, welcoming people I've ever met. As I was without a car, Wendy picked me up from town and offered to drop me off in town. They invited me to a family homecooked dinner, which was very appreciated both because there was a storm that day and the following day and because of the human contact after three weeks on the road on business trips. Both breakfast and the dinner were delicious. Furthermore, my bus out of Paihia was later in the evening on a stormy day and since some family members were going to the same area, they offered to take me with them, which I gratefully accepted. Wendy and Phil's home is absolutely beautiful and if I were to open up a bed and breakfast, I would want to run it just like they did. My stay with them has been best accommodations choice I have ever made.

Decks of Paihia is a fantastic B&B. Phil & Wendy are the perfect hosts and the accommodation is excellent. The comfort and family feel of the location is excellent, and a very short drive to the centre of Paihia or a 10 minute walk gives it a great location. Hidden gem in Bay of islands!
Thanks Phil and Wendy for two relaxing nights! After five weeks going around New Zealand this was exactly what we were looking for! Decks of Paihia is the best b&b I've stayed in. A feeling of luxourius hotel but a very nice personal stay thanks to Pihl and Wendy. Calm and quiet sorrundings. A true hidden gem in the bay of islands! If we return to NZ we will definitely stay here again!
