    Totally fine for a stay in NY. Not the Ritz, but was clean, safe, comfortable and right by the Canal Street subway station. No frills room, but if you're in your room in NYC, you aren't having fun. Some shady, but harmless characters out front during the day selling knockoffs, but it's Canal Street after all.     Hotel is really nice and big. Rooms are a very nice size for being New York and they have 2 beds if you need that accommodation. Only downside is the location is all the way at the bottom west tip of Manhattan so it can be a little mission if you’re planning on being uptown. Besides that this is a great hotel!…

    Very walkable to local sites such as World Trade Center Memorial, ferry to Staten Island (free) to get a good view of the Statue of Liberty, and also two very close accesses to the subway. The check in process was quick and staff was very friendly and helpful. Bonus for the ladies, the blow dryer provided was great! Not the typical small low wattage, but full size 1875 watts. I was so happy about this, since I was not able to bring my own on this trip. The Irish pub, Ryan Maguire’s, just around the corner is a MUST! It became our home away from home while we were in NY. Food was excellent and the owner Mena and staff were amazing. …
