Idyllic Riverside Welsh House - Next to Snowdonia & Close to North Wales beaches
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (149)
"The house is warm and comfortable, perfect if the Welsh weather is not playing ball! The location is perfect - both in terms of the wonderful views but also for visiting the many local attractions. During our week’s stay in April we visited the Zipworlds at Betws-y-coed and Penrhyn Quarry as well as the steam train at Blaenau Ffestiniog and Conwy castle. All within 15-35 minutes drive. Even South Stack at the far end of Anglesey was only an hour away. Bodnant gardens National Trust is only 5...

The Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast
4.0 star property

"This is an excellent B and B. Clean, quiet, safe, affordable and comfortable. It is a bit remote, in a little village, so do take care when driving to it. Our Driving app directed us through some single lane, gravel roads because that was the shortest way. But you don’t have to do that, as we discovered. "

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa
4.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (90)
"Such a shame, incredible grounds but massively let down by the service. As someone who travels extensively, most of which in premium establishments - this was one of the most disappointing stays I have had (Room, Afternoon Tea & Spa) - The greeting was inappropriate, only ever acknowledging me, never my fiancée (as if she wasn't there) - The room was very very tired. I totally understand the constraints with the National Trust / listed building. However the room was very tired, extension...

Stamford Gate Hotel
3.0 star property

"We stayed for one night while visiting Wales. The check in experience was fine and staff friendly. The room was OK - we could hear sounds from other rooms in the morning and the bathroom had mould spots near bath taps, but other than that it was clean and pretty comfortable. Restaurant looked really nice which I guess is the reason why almost all the photos are of the restaurant. English breakfast tasted good! Thank you."

"Overall we had a lovely time. However we didn't think the service was particularly great and the breakfast on both days was appalling; we were asked what time we wanted breakfast and stated 9am but on both days there was nothing left. We had to ask for everything we wanted and when things arrived they arrived separately therefore not allowing us to eat together or as one complete breakfast. The staff on duty were not visible in the dining area to ask. Our room was comfortable but we were...
