Lovely old building in a beautiful setting. Our only complaint was two small room issues. There was a noise from the door when the nearby door to the landing was opened. The carpet was not fully stretched. These were pointed out to reception and will hopefully be rectified. We would use this hotel again.

So we stopped overnight here. Hotel is a lovely building with lots of character, the room was individually furnished and very large. Unfortunately the stay had a few disapointments.

This place is set in lovely grounds. Nice room and good value. Did not have dinner here but if breakfast is anything to go by I would think the dinner would be excellent. Nice quiet area if that is what you are looking for and staff very friendly and helpful.

I loved staying here!

Beautiful hotel, lovely and quiet. Staff were fantastic - helpful, friendly, polite. Comfortable bed in clean room. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was great. I travel quite a lot, and this was one of the nicest hotel experiences I've had. I would definitely come back to this hotel the next time I'm in the area.

Good, but not good enough to stay again

From the outside this is a beautiful historic Manor House but in the room we had it didn’t feel any different to anywhere else. The grounds are lovely. The bed was uncomfortable and made for a poor 1st nights sleep. The staff are good and they did look to see if they could make our stay more comfortable. For breakfast we both had Eggs Royale which was really nice but not worth the £15pp price tag. Going back to the room what it really needed was black out curtains as the light really shone through and as we were on the front any cars coming up the drive, the light would shine brightly through them. Overall it’s not a bad place to stay but it’s does need modernisation.

Definitely book again!

As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by extremely friendly staff, they made us feel very relaxed straight away. As checkin was at 3pm, we booked an afternoon tea for 1.30pm to make the most of our stay - it was delicious, and catered for allergies altering my platter beautifully. We booked the Executive suite, Room was spacious and the addition of bath robes was lovely. Evening meal and breakfast was awesome 10 out of 10. Would definitely stay again

Stayed at this hotel overnight whilst awaiting to collect our dog following surgery. Hotel set in it's own grounds,we were woken by blackbirds. Room very clean and both bed linen and bath linen,first class, soft and fluffy. Staff very kind and professional. Food well prepared and very good dinning room. Glorious views from all rooms. Recommend, away from it all
