Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Room wasn't ready at check in time (2pm). I had to chase down the owner through VRBO who told me to contact the owner direct for check in details. Was told it would be ready @ 6:30pm. Arrived and room was still being cleaned. Was told it would be ready @ 6:45pm. On final return room still wasn't ready and was told that they needed to change locks due to previous stayer. Place felt very unsafe. This isn't a charming apartment close to Notting Hill, don't be mislead by the description or photos. Undesirable location. Homeless and drug users nearby. This is in a terraced house. I didn't feel safe and having to change the locks made it even worse.
