"I would have appreciated a towel change and the waste baskets being emptied midway between our stay. Our room was not serviced the entire time during our stay. I would have really appreciated at least clean washcloths and hand towels, but was not provided with either. The room was very, very clean, but had a very, very strong smell of cleaning products which was very offputting."

"This is an older small hotel but clean and with two pools and jacuzzi. Very nice older couple own and run it and are very accommodating. You can walk to the beach and a dozen or so restaurants and bars. If you’re staying for a week or more, they have gas grills by the pool that you can cook your own meals on. There are two restaurants right on the beach, Aruba being the most popular with a bar and music. The Village Pump is a great breakfast place and has a locals bar that was established in 1949! Ocean 101 is across the street and has good seafood. We really enjoyed Billy Jack’s near by the hotel. A Key West style bar with great sliders and craft draft beer, as well as a full bar. The hotel isn’t beachfront, but it’s a 5 minute walk to everything including the beach. For the price, it’s a great value!"

"The Blue Strawberry is a great little place to spend a few days in Lauderdale by the Sea. This place is INCREDIBLY clean, and staff is very helpful. This is an older property, but has been well taken care of. If you are looking for a property close to the beach and the "square", this is it."

"Private Beach, walking distance to local restaurants. Free business class wifi, Restaurant and bar on property. I would definitely staff again. Suite with a beach view and balcony!"

"We had a wonderful greeting and Ami was super friendly and very helpful. The pool is lovely and there are chairs and inflatables you can take to the beach to borrow. The room was a good size and good facilities. Air con very good. Parking easy to access and was appreciated. We would stay again for sure. The only thing we didn’t like was the people sat right outside our room door and window smoking causing our room to smell of cigarette smoke."
