Touchstone Resort
8/10 Good
"Great location on a quiet cove on muskoka lake. We stayed at a beachfront cottage. Waterview and steps away from the lake. The ambience was amazing. Watersports (kyaks, paddle boards, canoes) were readily available for use. Suite came with a full size kitchen and gas bbq which allowed us to really maximize our time onsite, though being 10 mins outside of Bracebridge was also covenient for a coffee or dinner out. Beach front was clean and cared for daily. Facility was new, modern and clean. Staff were helpful and courteous. Downside was the pool and hotel by the beach were out of order... had been for weeks, with zero notice leading up to check in. The lake was great but had I known I probably would not have booked at the price I did. There is a pool at the main building but it's a 10 min walk uphill, so not convenient. We also had a couple issues with TVs and appliances. Microwave did not work.. not the end of the world but it meant popcorn was off the table for a movie at night when the bugs come out. TV was missing a remote and the sound kept cutting out on the TV in the living room. Movie nights were a bit of a bust. Overall .. great spot, clean and nice staff however for the price and given the age of the resort I wasn't expecting some of these issues to be present."
Muskoka Lakefront Cottage w/ Dock, Kayaks & Canoes • Family Getaway

"This cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with friends. The location is peaceful and quiet, and waking up to the sunrise over the water was a beautiful way to start the day. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it easy and enjoyable to cook our meals. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. One of the highlights was the excellent selection of water equipment, including SUP boards, kayaks, and canoes. There were plenty of life jackets available, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the lake safely. If you like fishing, this is a great place to give it a try—just be patient, and chances are you'll catch something! Overall, this is a wonderful place to relax, reconnect with nature, and spend quality time with family or friends. We'd definitely love to come back."

"A last minute 2 night vacation. Definitely my favourite get away of the season. Stayed on the 4th floor with a golf course view, stunning. The golf course looked lush with picturesque hills and stands of pines. We didn't have time to play golf but I will definitely be back for a longer stay and a few rounds of golf. Visited the golf club house, staff were knowledgeable. I even picked up a few pieces of great golf wear at end of season 50% off. I was nervous about the room because it was a one bedroom with a pull out couch. No need to worry, the pull out couch was comfortable and everyone had a good sleep. Cliffside Restaurant is a stunning building with views of the golf course, 5 star food, beverage, and service. Infinity pool is huge with golf course views, plentiful of pool deck furniture, an 8 person barrel sauna and a pool side bar. What more could anyone ask for? I will definitely be back."

"Had a wonderful stay! Enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, canoe, sit down paddle board, pool table, fire pits, spacious kitchen, outdoor grill and all the necessary cooking utensils to help create amazing meals. Appreciated the sandy beach and calm water front, that is away from the busier part of lake Muskoka. A great location for attending yoga at mortimer marina."

"2nd time we have rented this beautiful cottage.Weather was fantastic.Deck, dock, water sports and lake got plenty of use each day!!!Deck was great for dinner outside.Superb evenings with the astounding Buck Moon shining on the water.Once outside time was done it was time to curl up on the sectional, snack and watch movies.Already thinking towards next years vacation in Muskoka."

"Property was not quite what we expected . It was clean and nice to be by the water . However , Check in and check out was not what we expected compared to other vrbo rentals . A great neighbour helped us with our issues so I would recommend a laminated sheet with locking codes , wifi password and things that were recommended in the area would have been some help . We still had a relaxing peaceful stay and would recommended this cottage ."

"The location is excellent, in front of the lake. The cottage was very nice, maintenance was just okay, but clean. The rooms and beds very good. The living room doesn’t have enough furniture, just one small sofa bed. The kitchen is very poor in utensil, plates and pans to cook."
