"We stayed there for one night. When we arrived, we found out the electricity and water were out. That happens, and it wasn’t in the hotel’s control. What was in their control is how they handle it. We weren’t offered any help unless we asked for it, the pool and indoor playground weren’t available because it was too dark - and given the bad weather these were the only relevant amenities. The hotel didn’t offer any compensation at all, and even declined our request for late checkout so we have some more time to enjoy the facilities. When we were checking out no one even bothered to ask about our stay - I think that’s a first for me. Again, it’s not about things you can’t control, it’s about how you choose to handle what you can."
