Top Starr Island Hotel Reviews

Sherwood Inn

8/10 Good

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. The grounds were beautiful. We weren’t able to use the outdoor amenities as it was October. The room was comfortable but a little dated, the carpet needed replacing in the room we were in but it didn’t make the stay at all uncomfortable. We would recommend this resort and would stay again."

10/10 Excellent

"We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful Muskoka cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway — the kitchen was well equipped, the rooms were comfortable, and all the amenities were exactly as described. The cleanliness really stood out to us. Everything was spotless and very well maintained, which made us feel right at home. The host was also incredibly thoughtful and organized. She provided a detailed file that perfectly explained everything we needed to know about the cottage, including the amenities and instructions, which made the entire stay feel effortless and truly relaxing. We never had to worry about figuring things out or wondering where anything was.The location was perfect for enjoying everything Muskoka has to offer while still having a peaceful and private place to come back to. You can really tell that the host puts a lot of care into making sure her guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We truly loved our stay and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a beautiful, clean, well-equipped, and relaxing Muskoka getaway! "
