"Every trip we stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn and this location is our favorite.
Great service, friendly staff, rooms are small and cozy but works fine for a couple. Air conditioning works great. Prime location next to many restaurants, shops/malls, and train station. Looking forward to our next stay here."

I can not imagine a better place to stay in Tokyo.
Everything was 5 star.
The panoramic views over the harbour were stunning
Staff service amazing particularly the concierge
Very well priced.
Restaurants were a little expensive but huge choices within walking distance
Will always go back there

Great location and hotel. Great place to come back to after full days exploring. Train stations close by. Love being in a hotel that feels like you are in Japan. You will not be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel NIWA. As a solo traveller, this is a lovely, safe area. Although I felt safe overall in all locations.
After much research I chose Hotel NIWA as I love the serenity here. It’s so peaceful, away from the busyness & the crowds, however a great location, close to all with such great transportation & so many fabulous dining options close by. The food is fabulous here.
The service standards are excellent. I found all staff so friendly, courteous & so helpful....

We stayed for 7 nights at the hotel. Excellent location, close to all amenities. Walking distance to train station and easy access to airport limousine service. The staff were friendly and the locals Nen were changed as per schedule. The products used in the toilets were excellent quality stuff. The welcome lounge was the main attraction and the staff were really friendly. Free shuttle busy to Disney was a bonus. The convenient store downstairs also made our stay easy.

Slightly out of the bright lights Tokyo, lovely and quiet with a train station close by. The hotel was amazing from the moment we stepped inside, and the breakfast’s were incredible. Can’t rate this place enough and was easily the best hotel we’ve stayed in ever.

Comfortable hotel with very nice staff, single beds are bigger than I had imagined, great location very close to a train station with plenty of shopping and dining options.

Absolutely loved my stay here, and would definitely stay again. Location is great, really clean, rooms aren't super cramped, great amenities and supplies, etc. Just an all-round amazing stay and 5/5 experience.

We had a lovely 2-night stay here in one of the moderate queen rooms. It was sweet and everything we needed. Also the location near the Kokuritsu-kogijo station was perfect for us. Really near Shinjuku so just awesome, we totally could have stayed longer. Staff were friendly and we were able to store our bags after we checked out. Would totally go back.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times as a family of 5 staying in 1 room.
We didn’t spend much time in the room or hotel other than to sleep but it was spacious and well appointed.
The hotel is very close to 4 stations and only a short walk to Tokyo Dome and with plenty of eating places close by.

Thank you for everything!

This was my favourite hotel in Tokyo for so many reasons — Location is convenient and walkable to/from convenience stores & train stations including Keisei Ueno Station for Narita Airport access; Rooms are spacious and bright and very clean; View of Ueno Park and Shinobazuno Pond from the room is breathtaking; All staff are friendly and welcoming (and my family would like to especially thank Do who was very helpful during our stay!); Check in/check out process was easy and check out is...

The best area to stay in Kogane is around Kogane Station, which offers the most convenience and access to local amenities.
This area serves as the central hub of Kogane. You'll find a good selection of hotels, restaurants, and shops concentrated around the station plaza and along the main streets radiating from it, such as Ekimae-dori. It's a highly walkable district, making it easy to get around on foot.
For solo travellers, staying near Kogane Station is particularly convenient. The direct access to public transport, including the JR Joban Line, makes exploring not just Kogane but also nearby cities like Chiba and Tokyo straightforward. There are also numerous dining options, from casual eateries to more refined restaurants, great for an evening meal after a day of sightseeing.
Couples looking for a comfortable base will also find the area around Kogane Station suitable. Many hotels in this vicinity offer modern amenities, and the ease of access to local attractions like the Kogane Historical Museum or the nearby parks provides options for relaxed days out.
When is the best time to go to Kogane?
The best time to visit Kogane is during spring (March to May) for its pleasant weather and cherry blossoms, or autumn (September to November) for comfortable temperatures and colourful foliage.
Spring is particularly popular for visitors. The weather is generally mild and comfortable, making it ideal for exploring the city's parks and outdoor attractions. This season is also famous for the blooming of cherry blossoms, which transform many areas, including the banks of the Edogawa River, into picturesque landscapes. Couples often find this time especially romantic for strolls and picnics under the blossoms.
Autumn also offers excellent conditions for a visit. The temperatures are cool and agreeable, great for sightseeing without the summer heat or humidity. The foliage turns to beautiful shades of red and gold, creating stunning natural scenery, particularly in areas like the Kogane Historical Park.
