"Visited here a few times …super location, lovely clean property with friendly staff… ALWAYS good VALUE for money! Seems to attract friendly tourists who are always up for a gab, sharing stories and recommendations. Breakfast is plentiful, good quality and delicious! (Bit disappointed with evening meal … so much ‘unavailable’ on the menu … the ‘traditional chicken roast’ was, in my opinion, mushy and tasteless …. I feel the Stone Trough always sets the standard so high!) We have visited all different times of the year and look forward to visiting AGAIN…. THANK YOU"

"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choices were very good and plentiful. However the room was very dated and in need of renovation and had a funny smell when you walked in. The bedroom lacked any real style - blind needed replacing and the bathroom reminded us of a prison bathroom (all grey in colour)and stuck in the 80s with some broken fixtures so rather disappointing. The newly refurbished dining room looked good though!"

"Our 2 nights stay at the Black Swan was mostly good. Evening meal was very good on the first night. The bar was busy and had a nice atmosphere plus friendly locals. The room was comfortable, bathroom okay apart from the door which has noisy latch which can wake you up if you are a light sleeper. Some noise from machinery which kept cutting in and heard in the bedroom. Breakfast was okay but a little sparse for a cooked breakfast."
