"Beautiful cottage in a perfect location. Steps to the village square! Clean, comfortable, and so charming! Be aware that the laneway is quite narrow, so if hiring a car, smaller is better."

"This is a very charming place situated right in the center of “Darrowby”. The inn has a beautiful garden and the breakfast is tasty and well done. The innkeeper Lynn was the best example of hospitality we have ever had, coming to the rescue when our rental car had a flat tire in a remote area. She really embodies the reputation of how lovely the people are in the Yorkshire Dales, and took extra care to make sure our car troubles didn’t ruin the vacation."

"This is a nice, friendly, welcoming hotel in what seems to be a pretty old house in the Yorkshire Dales. It does have a lot of steps, no lift, and the town is on the side of a hill, so visitors should be aware of that. The rooms are small, clean and comfortable. Parking is possible in the nearby town square and we were fortunate to find a space on both nights. We ate one night in the restaurant, having made a reservation, and it was good. They allow dogs. The next night, a Sunday, they were fully booked, as were several other restaurants in the town. Breakfast was excellent. You need to order on a card the evening before. We didn’t use the bar but it seemed lively and had music on the Sunday evening."

"Lovely quaint cottage with all modern comforts and very clean. Ideal for a couple on a short break we hope to visit again. Close to local amenities literally a two minute walk away. Due to the excellent weather it was very busy and parking was at a premium but we managed to find a spot from one of the Host suggestions. If you’re planning to eat out at one of the pubs/restaurants I recommend you book the night before. We saw on two separate nights people been turned away because the places were fully booked."

"Great cosy comfy cottage in wonderful Grassington. The cottage is well equipped apart from there be no bin bags to put bed linen and towels in when we stripped the beds etc as requested although it was stated that bin bas would be provided for this purpose. The open fire starter pack was really meagre, with no kindling, only two firelighters and two logs!!!Spoons in the cutlery drawer were either serving spoons or soup spoons!!!"

"A lovely place to stay. Accommodation needs a little TLC. A little disappointed that there was limited t.v, and no dvds. We brought our pet dog with us and found there was no where to place doggy waste bags."
