"The room was a superb find. Is not a new room; however is very comfortable, clean, spacious, close to everything and with lots of amenities. Its location is right in the middle of Downtown Historic Hilo. Close to the bus terminal which can take you the Volcanos Park and other locations of Hilo. Just get the bus schedule and be aware that the schedules can change and is not as clear. Ask the drivers to be sure. Our host Michele was very helpful to show and point the area and where to go. Exceeding Expectations at Hale Aloha Kaloli~Air Conditioning Throughout the Home

"Our multi-generational group of five had a lovely stay at Montana and Bruce's home in late September. The property is perfectly situated equidistant to Hilo and the national park, making it easy for us to alternate between exploring in town and going on hikes. KTA and Foodland were close enough to the house that we could conveniently grocery shop when needed.Layout was spacious, offering privacy with my parents staying on one end of the house, while my husband, our five-year-old, and I stayed on the other. During the day, the property was quiet, and although it was hot when we'd return in the late afternoon, the space cooled down with the AC and fans on. At night, you can hear the coqui frogs, but the sound didn't bother us at all. Beds were comfortable and we all slept really well our entire stay. My parents were very excited to see papaya, passion fruit, and starfruit growing right on the property.The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and dinnerware, though a minor note that a few of the nylon cooking utensils could use replacements as the ends looked partly melted. But we appreciated that the fridge and freezer were stocked with some essentials and chilled beverages.Montana was friendly and very responsive to my messages, and my dad mentioned enjoying conversing with Bruce."

"Overall a great experience, the room is clean and well stocked with everything you could need on your trip. Lots of privacy as well. The hosts are great as well, very communicative when and checking in and out as well as if you have any questions or recommendations."

"The property was convenient to beaches and Hilo . It was 45 minutes from Volcanoes park . There was snorkel equipment to use . The washer and dryer was appreciated . There is not A/C . It was muggy when we were there , but the fans made it comfortable . The house was well equipped with towels for the beach . The kitchen was well equipped also. There were basic spices and condiments which was appreciated . The welcome note and fruit basket were a very kind touch . Would recommend for a nice stay ."
