"We were only at Island Goode's three nights and really there only in the evening/late evening. But even in those short times, we felt so relaxed in the beautiful setting, the dark night sky to see the stars, and seeing some of the sunrise over the ocean from the front lawn. Bonus - fruit trees with oranges and tangerines and lemons in the yard we could have and enjoy. And our hosts were so friendly and helpful - with practical things and having laundry available, and snorkel gear and chairs to borrow. We are extremely thankful we stayed at Island Goode's and would recommend them to anyone, even the traveller who uses the "hotel" just a launching pad for the next day's adventure. "

"We loved our time at Reeds Bay Hotel. We got an ocean view which helped to keep it comfortable at night considering there is no air conditioning, as most in Hawaii do not have or use air conditioning. We slept well and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. Banyan Drive is beautiful and places you close to all things you would want to do and see in Hilo."
