"Staff were very helpful in checking in and out. Room served the job nicely - although the booking said there were no windows, it was a pleasant surprise to be placed in one which had a window anyway. Air conditioning was much appreciated during the time I stayed. Location is in convenient distance of several shops and public transport options."

"Clean hotel, needs a bit of a face lift in certain areas. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good value, with an adequate selection. I paid for an early check in (10.00 to 12.00), but on arrival none of the 3 rooms booked were available, 1st room became available within 15/20 minutes, then shortly afterwards the 2nd room became available. I also enquired about my upgrade bid on 1 of the rooms, that I was told I would hear about most likely before my arrival, which I did not, I was advised by a very polite front of desk lady member of staff that there were no family suites available, so my bid was unsuccessful. The kind lady did say that they would waiver to charge for early check in, as the hotel had failed to accommodate that request. I left front of desk with 2 of my 3 rooms and was told the 3rd room would be full cleaned within 15/20 minutes. I had to leave the hotel to get ready at home for a function, leaving my family who had travelled some distance in the 2 available rooms to also get ready for the function. On my return to the hotel I was told by my family that the hotel staff had come back to them and said an upgrade to a family suite was now available and did we want it, but we declined, as we were already settled in all our individual rooms and it would have been hassle to move as we were on a tight schedule to reach the destination of our function. On the whole the overall stay was good, but the early check in and upgrade were very disappointing."

"Nice enough hotel- lovely front staff, willing to help. The bar stocked a nice selection of beers and stouts, and the food we ordered was fine. Parking was easy and reasonably priced, but if you arrive late- you may have to look for a place. During the day, it’s easy. Don’t forget to check in your car as soon as you arrive. This is important- I suspect you’ll be fined. And request an email receipt of your registration. If I’m honest- it’s a little run down, and my room had a slightly odd, musty smell. Furnishings and finishes could definitely do with an overhaul. That being said- it was secure and safe, the bed was very comfortable, blackout in the room was great, and check in and check out was straightforward. I would use this hotel again and very probably will- but it’s not a romantic getaway. This is more a comfortable night for someone working away from home."
