"The hotel is a little old and dated, but the staff were friendly and helpful (although at breakfast we were initially told that your name/room number was not on the list - an issue that was quickly corrected). We were in a disabled room (I had specifically requested a ground floor room which the hotel promptly agreed to, although we didn't specifically require the disabled facilities). My only issue with the room was that the toilet didn't flush well (still stuff floating in it after a full flush and you then had to wait for the cistern to fill to effectively flush again). I can't complain about the parking charge as i was aware of it when I booked, but it does seem a bit steep for a car park that only really services the hotel (I cannot see any reason why anybody would want to park there if they were not a hotel customer). Breakfast had a pretty reasonable selection of continental and hot options, although I found the layout not entirely logical and had to look for some items that were not where I would have expected."

"So many amazing amenities! SO MUCH COMPLIMENTARY THINGS! Thank you Rowhill. :) The room was a cozy, with slanted ceiling and view was to the front of the hotel. Woth the view of the lovely grounds! Perfect for warly spring! The only thing i would say the room needs some minor upkeep. Myb a change of wallpaper by the sink mirror, lots of black scuffs, mold in the shower by the corner. Skirting board worn. Other than that clean, beautiful, and I will definitely be back ! :) "

"We hebben een fantastische 9 dagen vakantie gehad in de stallen. Een erg vriendelijk en behulpzame gastvrouw. bij aan komst een heerlijk welkomst pakket en een heerlijk flesje wijn. Voor iedereen die een fan is van de National trust is dit de ideale accommodatie alles is op korte afstand bereikbaar en een rustpunt na een dag in de English Country. Donald en Anneke (Holland)"

"Cottage was nice overall, but the bed was not a Kingsize as advertised and was super hard. We are not small people and I always avoid accommodation that doesn't have a KS bed. We struggled for the 6 days we were there with both the size and firmness. The surroundings in the grounds of the main house are lovely. Pool was large and a nice cool temperature, but really needed cleaning/filtering daily due to the amount of dead insects floating on the surface, and therefore not great for actual swimming. Shower was the best I've had in a long time. Toilet had a proper flush too! Unfortunately M20/M25 road noise is annoying and hard to block out. Overall a nice 6 days away, aside from the bed being a standard double and far too hard. ~X~"
