The hotel is located right in the middle of the Plaza de España area. It’s 20 meters walk from the metro, which is super convenient if you plan to go to Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium. I took line 10 metro and 15/20 minutes later I was in front of the stadium! Aside from that, it’s right next to the start of Gran Via, which is full of shops, restaurants and bars. Perfect location and very helpful and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast overlooking the Guggenheim museum.

Check in was fast and with a welcome drink too. Very good breakfast, perfect housekeeping and helpful concierge staff. We really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel has a lovely ambience.

This is an excellent hotel in the best part of Madrid. Highly recommended. One knows what to expect in a 5 star hotel and the Wellington ticks all those boxes - fluffy towels, comfortable bed, excellent gym facilities and the like. The reason I keep coming back to the Wellington though is that it is emblematic of everything that is wonderful about Madrid. A spectacular (although short!) stay in one of my all time favourite hotels around the world! A warm welcome by helpful staff and I was blown away by the architectural splendour of the decor and aesthetic appeal of all areas of the hotel from gorgeous rooftop pool with its red striped sun loungers to the immaculately clean guest rooms and amazing lobby. I can’t wait to stay here when next in Barcelona!

What a stunning hotel! The staff were so friendly and the service impeccable. There are four pools and they were always quiet so we easily got sunbeds everyday. There is easy access to the beach as well and a separate beach club but you need to book this separately. The area itself was a bit far out so we were glad we had a car, there aren’t many things walking distance.

The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The whole place was very clean with lovely gardens. The location is great, with supermarkets and bakery right next door and 5 min walk to the main part of town with restaurants, bars and shops. We did find the sofa bed a bit hard for sleeping on and the balcony was not very private compared to other places we stayed but also had direct access to the pool which was great.

This hotels location is amazing. It is in the heart of the city centre and is a short walk from shopping and plenty of food options. The pool was a lot of fun and the staff were super helpful and welcoming.

Fantastic hotel

The location of the hotel is fantastic, clean rooms, friendly and very helpful Staff, the buffet breakfast was really good. Also walking distance to Atocha train station.

Great service from staff.turn down service with a chocolate. Mini bar is free daily. Large rooms with views. Pool is small but good relief from heat. Easy walk to CBD. Great restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay again when in Madrid.
