"Guillermo went out of his way to answer our questions and help us enjoy our 3 day stay. We don’t speak much Spanish and were afraid we would be a burden, but his graciousness was unbelievable! We thank you SO MUCH for your help in renting the bikes and where to eat. We highly recommend this quiet area so close to the Metro and Barcelona. "El Born was perfectly located adjacent to the gothic quarter and across the street from train and bus stations. The metro and beach were also easily walkable. We would stay here again! Guillermo was super friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and that he would accommodate whatever needs we had. Water pressure was great and got plenty hot. The room was cool and the bed was comfortable. "

After 24hrs we became accustomed to the area and felt much better. Hotel staff obtained a taxi for us that met us exactly on time in the alley by the hotel. It was a perfect place to stay!"

"We could've used 2 keys to be able to leave or go back to the guest house separately. Other than that, we liked this guest house as it is located at the perfect spot for public transport, touristic and also shopping purposes. Although we were promised cleaning and towel replacement service in every three days, we didn't mind not getting it. We were happy with using the same towels for a week. "Definitely the case of “you get what you paid for “. I chose this because we were on a tight budget and we needed the room just to sleep. Turned it was a good choice. Location was great, only a few blocks behind “expensive hotels”. We had a triple room, so it was roomier. The room was cleaned everyday, tea and coffee in the lounge area, but no milk provided and freshness was questionable. You guys should clean the fridge, a bit of food left behind that are way past the ‘used by’ date."

"Nice stay in an apartment, not a hotel. Clean, centrally located and overall pleasant. Bathroom, while private, is in the hall. Lovely kitchen to prepare what you want and cool environment."

"This is a good hotel. The area is not as convenient because there are very few restaurants near hotel. Transportation is close too. Some services not available…like laundry…which was a major reason I booked it. This was due to drought conditions in Barcelona but we were not informed nor compensated. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchenette is a nice touch. A few cupboards were coming off their hinges but is well equipped. I would stay there again…."
