I can not tell you how disappointed I was to read this review of us! I am actually thinking these guests have reviewed the wrong accommodation. My reasons for that are because they thanked me for trying to book a dinner reservation on their behalf at a local eatery and for trying to change another reservation to allow them a second night's accommodation in the same unit if their tour plans eventuated (which they did not). They also thanked me for their stay on check-out and said they were happy with their unit. I am sorry to say that the review left is utter lies! I took the female guest into the kitchen to show her where the remote was for the heat-pump, and could see the kitchen was immaculate. Our bathrooms have just been painted, so there was no way that there was mould - it just isn't true! I would be very happy to discuss this "terrible" review with the departed guests directly if they wished to front up and face me in person. I am the owner but I am also the cleaner, so I know exactly what my rooms look like and their cleanliness. I would like anyone looking at our premises to check all reviews to get a clear and honest opinion of our motel and the staff/owners that work here - it is a very long distance from this review! I have these guest's personal email and will be sending a copy of this to them also, as I really think they have given this review for the wrong premises! Hi Frank - we were sorry to hear that you didn't like our little Cabana unit. We do advertise very clearly that the Cabana is very compact and that it is our only unit that doesn't have air-con, which is why it is cheaper than all our other units. The majority of guests that stay in the Cabana enjoy that it's a quaint, quirky little space and that it is so private away from other units. We suggest reading the room information details before booking as it sounds as though the Cabana really wasn't suitable for you and possibly you would have been better spending the little extra and booking a large studio unit, which has air-con. Booking with third party providers is an efficient way to view what is available and provides a great service, and we have no problem at all with guests doing that. However, when asked we do advise that booking direct gets the best rate.

Hi Jan - we were very disappointed to read your review. Our heat pumps were new last winter and serviced regularly, so we know are in good working order. I did note on your departure that you had changed the mode to aircon - which is why it will have been cold. It's a shame you didn't make us aware of the problem - during your 3 night stay - so we could have changed the mode back to heat, to ensure a cosy stay. We would encourage you to contact Reception at any premises you stay when there is a problem, so the owners/managers have the change to rectify it - especially when it's as simple as correcting the settings on a remote control. In response to your reference that our rooms are dated - they have been tastefully refurbished in recent years and the wonderful comments we have received from guests, regular and one-off, have been great to hear, so it may well be a situation of personal taste, which of course we can't do much about. We are investigating the options for water pressure, and following Covid times we hope to upgrade to a higher pressure system in the future. Again, we are disappointed with your comments and wish you had made us aware during your stay, so we could have addressed your issues. Thankfully, the majority of feedback from guests is very positive and it's great knowing we are doing a good job, but of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Our compact Cabana unit is very clearly advertised as being small and our ONLY unit that does not have air-con. That is why it is a cheaper rate compared to all our other units. We strongly recommend that if you require air-con, to book one of our spacious studio units. Thanks again.
