"Real bacon and egg breakfast here! Family cabin was great for our group of six guys heading out on the Virginia Creeper Trail. We had safe bike storage by bringing our e-bikes in the main cabin overnight. "

"Great lodging for our ladies retreat. Very clean and well stocked. The host has thought of everything you could need for your stay and if you forgot it in town...it was probably there. Felt just like home. Only a short drive into town for dinner and shopping but we loved the peaceful setting when winding down. Would definitely not hesitate to stay here again."

Little Creek Cabin, 2 bedrooms, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 4)

10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful little cabin in a nice setting. When we first arrived the hummers buzzed me each time I went to the car to for the load in. The screen porch was a great place for sitting and thinking or enjoying a beverage. Our two Russell terriers loved it as well. The kitchen is well appointed with nice appliances and everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would have liked to try out the fireplace, but it was a little too warm. Speaking of which the AC worked great to keep the cabin comfortable. The one thing the cabin lacked is a fence around the yard for our dogs. We don't let them out unleashed so they weren't able to run. We knew that beforehand so were prepared to deal with it. Paul was easy to get hold of and we exchanged texts a few times. The one drawback is our GPS unit at times was completely confused on the secondary and tertiary roads, not uncommon in the NC mountains."

Thistle Ridge Mountain & River Retreat- 12 acres, hot tub, EV charger, fire pits

10/10 Excellent
"This was absolutely the most amazing VRBO my wife and I have ever stayed in! The house was immaculate. The grounds were gorgeous, they include a wonderful waterfall for guests private enjoyment. My wife fell in love with the friendly chickens(whose eggs were delicious). We were able to see alot of deer, and the birdfeeders constantly attracted hummingbirds, and others. The multiple outdoor seating arrangements are wonderful. The inside is just beautiful, with artwork and pottery from around the world. The master bedroom is great (I'm running out of adjectives), with a classy bathroom with a gorgeous soaking tub attached to it. It has a cook's kitchen where a sandwich or a feast can easily be prepared. I have barely touched the virtues of this home! If you are lucky, you will get to stay here"

"Great place to stay for hikers who want to go to Grayson Highlands (15 min. away in Va.) or do other outdoor activities in Ashe Co. Very clean, comfortable beds, and lots of bunnies and deer in the yard. We attended the Fly Around Fest in Lansing and it was wonderful."
