"The first unit I reserved had some issues - sliding door wouldn't open and logging into the TV, but the host moved us to another unit that was much better. We didn't know that places would be closed either due to it being off season or Easter weekend. We had to go into Banner Elk to eat and buy groceries. Just wanted to add that for people like us that don't travel to the mountains often. Overall we had a good trip, but I would stay in Banner Elk, Boone, or Blowing Rock next time."

"Good stay. Kitchen was well equipped and problems were quickly addressed. Only negatives were the washer and dryer in the unit were not operational. The floors were a bit uneven but not dangerous. "Nice A Frame chalet, a lot more spacious than expected which was a nice surprise. Great kitchen and full size refrigerator. I didnt see that it didn’t have central A/C and we could’ve used it the first night. The fans need adjusting so they can help. It cooled down the 2nd night so it wasn't bad inside. Overall a very pleasant stay."

"Corey’s Bearfoot Beech Retreat on Beech Mountain was an exceptional stay. The quality of the construction is apparent everywhere—you can tell this place was thoughtfully designed and built to last. What’s particularly impressive is how easily accessible it is despite being perched dramatically on the side of a steep mountain slope. You get the wonderful mountain-retreat feeling without having to sacrifice convenience.Corey has also done a terrific job providing all the necessities you could want, but with genuine class and style rather than the generic feel of a typical rental. Everything feels intentional, comfortable, and welcoming.The generous pet policy was especially appreciated. It made Bearfoot Beech Retreat a wonderful place to enjoy the mountain with a four-legged companion rather than merely finding someplace that “allows” one.And then there’s the wildlife! Deer 歷 were frequent visitors, casually roaming up and down the steep slopes of the property as though they owned the place—which, frankly, they probably think they do. Sitting among the trees watching them wander through was one of the pleasures of our stay.Beautiful setting, excellent accommodations, thoughtful host, and a truly memorable Beech Mountain experience.
