"Where to begin? First off the staff, Michelle and Phillip, were awesome. We were getting late on NYE and not only were they okay but Michelle even called to check on us knowing we were driving in late. Upon arrival Phillip made us feel welcome and at home. Showed us a beautiful and very clean room. The in room amenities were well stocked and all clean. The bar downstairs had a very marvelous bourbon selection. Had one of the best old fashioned ive ever had. Do not miss breakfast. At least not here you will not be disappointed. "

"The cabin was just perfect for our stay over Christmas! We enjoyed walking and exploring around the property with our dog. Our favorite spot was the seating area overlooking the Christmas tree farm- what a view! The cabin was well-organized and beautifully decorated. I especially loved the Christmas tree and the wood stick tree on the front porch. Thank you for letting us stay-We plan to return again! Jennifer & Scott "

"We didn't have a mountain view. We had a river view since the river flows right in front of the house. The little community of Todd, NC is within easy walking distance and is very friendly and historic. We loved this place."

"We always enjoy our stay here. Imani, the front desk clerk, is such a delight to talk with. The mattresses are getting a little saggy, but the historic charm and comfort of the hotel is always on point. We appreciate being able to walk to restaurants and the convenient locations to drive to whatever we need. We were bummed the Swamp Fox closed an hour earlier than advertised, though. "
