Surprisingly quiet, very cheap (room is quite run down), linen looked clean and pressed. Toilet looked very clean. Fridge and hangers were useful. Spacious. A relaxing night while out.
Unesisten igenic cleaning, I left the hotel cause I found bed bugs , orrible crowds , manager orrible ! Don't know if they did or warning the other costumers !

The property was conveniently located and an easy walk to town. However, it's on the road that goes to the highway and there are alot of big, noisy trucks that pass by.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Stay here with an open mind. It is an old building and it shows. However, it was very clean, tidy and had nice soap and shampoo.
The lift does not work, so if you have alot of luggage, might want to stay on lower floors.

We had an on-suite room with double bed. We had everything we needed. There was TV, fridge, tea and coffee and towels. The room was clean. The building itself is a bit run down e.g. the elevator wasn't working (but we stayed in the first floor, so no need for it). The rate was excellent, hence overall you get good value for the money if you are ok with basic accommodation. There was also a shared kitchen which was clean but we did not use it. The parking (about 10 cars) outside was paid parking but free on the weekend. However very much in demand so that we walked everywhere in order not to lose the spot.

The staff were very friendly but the accommodation was VERY budget and basic.
We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Was a hot night, so a fan was provided. Was reasonable price for Auckland

Cold Water in Shower not working this morning. Hand Basin Cold tap dripping all night Couldn't turn it off.
Some pesky little biting critters in carpet.
Other than that I would stay again. I thought the Reception Staff were exceptional. They were extremely helpful & very Courteous.
Thank You!
Barry
The property is 1-star. It does have a kitchen and beds, but everything is beyond basic. I've stayed in hostels around Asia, Europe and South America, and they've never been this bad. To start, the staff aren't rude, but they're not exactly helpful. They also failed to mention that they don't provide towels - I walked to Westfield, and all the places that sold towels were expensive. The atmosphere is also quite bad - it doesn't have the fun atmosphere that other places have - it just feels seedy. i ended up leaving and booking elsewhere, but they wouldn't refund my money. Would not recommend at all.
Felt very uncomfortable staying here as a lone travelling female, very creepy place with gangs of people on drugs standing around outside the entrance all day and night that would bother everyone who entered or left the building... not very pleasant. I Stayed in a female dorm, the room was clean, but the cleaners went through my locker and the locker of another girl in my dorm and left our things out everywhere, staff seemed uninterested when we told them.
The kitchen was disgusting, and the toilet had no ceiling... can’t believe I payed to stay here... really gross
I’ve been staying in this hostel for a while and for some reason it’s not been taken care of for some weeks now. The property got a lift that started breaking every other week and now for more than 8 days it’s without repair. It’s a pain when it’s located in the 5th floor and we have to come all the way up and down. The biggest male shower is under maintenance for about a month now and we don’t know when it’s going to be open again. This week one of the two fridges stopped working and no note was released to let the tenants know they should move their food. Some food stayed unattended in the broken fridge for more than 24h. The way things are rolling up show the management is not really into improving things here and it’s sad since it’s in a great location. In addition to that, prices are not getting reasonably lower even though we are in a low season and demand has shrunk for some time now.

Clean, friendly and affordable. All cooking facilities and kitchen were awesome and I enjoyed feeling welcomed and safe.
The property is in excellent location. Every thing in CBD was close-by, lot of foods available in the surrounding area. Got one issue about connecting my Cell Phone & TABLET to hostel's WIFI system.
