Seaside Hotel Maiko Villa Kobe

4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (775)
"I stayed here because of the unimpeded view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. It did not disappoint. Recently refurbished, the hotel is extremely luxurious for the price. Take the breakfast buffet option. There is an abundance to choose from and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my stay."

"Perfect hotel. Location was next to the train station which is a must in this hilly town. Property nice and clean. Food was excellent. Kaiseki dinner with meat was tasty and filling. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the outdoor onsen was closed. Indoor onsen was large and had a variety of pools. Overall a memorable stay and I highly recommend this hotel."

Kamiobo

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (79)
"A bit grim I'm afraid, very worn, it really is time that it had an upgrade of some sort - everything about it was shabby and worn down. I'm sorry to say that but it wouldn't be fair on others if I didn't. Clean but that's about the best I can say. There is no '
spa
' and no 'massage' as advertised which I established before arrival, the public bath is pretty grim. My room door didn't lock, it did from the inside but not the outside - they must know, I wasn't bothered as I consider Japan very...

4.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (135)
"It was a beautiful family-run ryokan offering waters from Arima Onsen right to our room, with a beautiful view over the little town. It was
relaxing
for my family to enjoy and be together, and I imagine it would make a beautiful romantic getaway. The special kaiseki dinner was one of the best I had during my stay in Japan. If you’re into the onsen experience with an understated but delightfully charming and luxurious stay, book this place! "
