"Underrated hotel, great stay on Valentine's Day "
I have stayed here several times and this hotel is excellent. It has all the minimum necessities and amenities. The rooms are spacious, clean, and decorated with modern decor. Some have a amazing view of the arch on the other side of the river! Location is just a few minutes away from downtown and relatively safe since it's in the casino area. The winner for me was they were extra accommodating on Valentine's Day. There are spa jacuzzi king rooms but I had booked a normal room (even normal rooms are a deal, less than $100 on most nights with free parking), they upgraded me anyways at no charge. There were chocolate covered strawberries in the fridge and I hadn't even requested those. Maybe it was the perks of Expedia+ Gold but I truly appreciate the effort the staff had made. Great job Queen!

"Downtown Clayton luxury for an affordable price"
For the price this was the perfect hotel! The staff could not be friendlier! The lobby is gorgeous- you get the "luxury" of staying in downtown Clayton at a swanky hotel for a third of what the Ritz costs! Breakfast was also incredible- and it was nice to have a shuttle to the airport. My only beef was the parking. There should be signs in the garage where to go- it could be better. I would 100% stay again!

"Quiet stay"
Hotel desk staff were not at desk when I checked in. It took a few minutes to get there to assist me. I was checked in and was asked if I wanted to self park or valet park for extra $20. I explained to the desk clerk that I needed to leave by 5:30am the next morning. She assured me that it was no problem to get my car at that time, therefore I choose to valet park. She told me about the fitness area, pool, and sundeck, also about the use of the elevators using my room key. The carpets were being professionally cleaned as I arrived to my floor. I noticed that there were areas in the carpet that were "wrinkled". It could cause someone to fall if not seen. But it as clean. Once I got into my spacious rooms, I was looking for the TV channel guide and found in a drawer men's underweare and jeans. That was a little unnerving, knowing the housekeeping staff didn't find it when cleaned. My room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and most of all my room was so quiet!!! I loved the quietness!!!! Next morning I checked out and asked for my car to be retrieved and was told that valet service didn't arrive at 7am. I told her that I had asked the clerk last night about that and was assured I could get my car at that time. She called the security to get my key so that I could get my car. Also it took a bit for someone to come to the desk when I wanted to the desk when I wanted to check out. It was a nice hotel for the price..<$100.00 in downtown St Louis!

"Comfortable and very convenient "
We stayed at Seven Gables for four nights during the Christmas holiday while visiting family in the St. Louis area. The hotel is a charming, historic building. The staff were kind and helpful. Our room was pleasant with a bed that was terrifically comfortable. The housekeeping staff were attentive and one of the staff even brewed fresh coffee for me in the afternoon when he could have easily told me to use the in-room coffee maker. The breakfast was good, though I would have enjoyed fresh fruit. We will definitely use the hotel again. Be warned- the hotel doesn't have an elevator. If you have trouble managing stairs, you should check about first floor rooms. Also, the hotel is charming and historic. It is not squeaky clean and new. I would have liked to have had recycling bins available for bottles and such. I also would have liked to have had more light in the room. There was one low wattage overhead light and table lamps that were dim....maybe higher wattage bulbs would help. Finally, it would have been great to have a small in-room refrigerator....or liquid creamers for coffee.

"My new favorite hotel"
The Brentwood Drury Inn is a very nice hotel - clean, well-maintained, and the staff is fantastic! They are proud to work for Drury and it shows in their attitude toward the job and the guests. The complimentary food was also nice. In addition to a delicious continental breakfast, we enjoyed tacos, baked potatoes, and salad, along with all the fixin's at their evening 5:30 Kickback. Great hotel!
