"The check-in process was ok and the room was decent. The only problem was that the room had an air conditioner, but no remote was included. No one answered the phone when I called to inquire about getting a remote at around 5:30 in the evening. As it is hot in Venice, that could be a real problem for a lot of guests. Luckily it was not in the dead of summer. Overall, it was ok. "

"For an older hotel we were pleased with our stay. The service was very good - friendly and accommodating. We knew it was an older hotel so we expected the decor to reflect that. The breakfast selections were better than we expected. The location was great! We were right off the canal and able to walk to all the attractions and activities we had planned. It was also nice to have restaurants and cafes next door. We would definitely stay here again. "

"The location was fine, safe and quiet. Other than that very disappointed. When I arrived after hours found my key in the coded key box following the instructions. However the towels left on my bed were damp. Room and toilet very small but this is maybe normal for Venice. Only 2 pillows provided and they were very flat and hard. The place is badly in need of a makeover. The bathroom was grungy, mould on the tiles. Shower stall was tiny and the shower fixture was falling off the wall. The...
