"It served my purpose"
I was not new in Vegas, I was a former resident clearing off my rented storage and moved things. I requested for the ground floor room and that was perfect for hauling, unpacking and packing. At least, they have coffee. The guy who checked me in told me to keep that $125 receipt because it is needed upon check-out. But the receptionist when I checked out couldn't find my record of deposit or have been voided; so, I am checking it to my bank now. Location wise is good but you will still need a ride.

Plane was delayed, I got there after closing hours. I had to wait for some time to contact somebody to check me in, even though I told them I was running late. Eventually, somebody called me back on phone number I left with about 4 messages & they checked me in. I was happy about that. After that I was able t was able to recover & get ready for work.

"Place is o.k. as a very inexpensive place "
Place seemed to have all the basic inexpensive amenities. It is clearly a place for young backpacker types. Everybody was basically friendly and my dorm mates were courteous about not making noise at night. One thing is immediately comes to mind in terms of improvement is that the desk clerk and signage don't tell a person about the laundry room, kitchen, library, T.V. room and how to secure a car in the parking lot. The pool area and hot tub were very nice. Here are the suggestions I would have for the owner/manager of this hostel. 1. Conduct a complete review of facilities, making repairs and improvements within budget and provide adequate signage and information brochures about staying at the hostel. 2. Use the Youth Hostel International as a guide to organizing and improving it. 3. The Hostel is a little too lax in its rules about conduct. On Friday night some people were up making noise until 4 a.m. 4. It would be nice if the hostel had coffee/tea and perhaps some light pastries in the morning.

"Rough area, but nice clean room with amenities.."
My band happened to have a show on a Saturday night that overlapped with some other events in Vegas; so getting a room under $300 anywhere was a challenge. This area is NOT the greatest; and judging from the outside of the Motel, I expected very little. We were pleasantly surprised that when you got INSIDE your room; it was quaint, but very nice and clean. Newly renovated, and it had a good sized mini-fridge and a microwave. Bathroom was clean and stocked with necessities, bed and linens were clean, and you get Direct TV. This part of town is sketchy. I would encourage anyone to lock any valuables in your room with you and be sure to lock your vehicle. But hey, it's the area - and for $79 bucks a night when everywhere else was 3 times that - we were very happy with what we paid for.

"Really nice"
We were a group of friends, the hotel was really nice, comfy enough for a night, in the center of Downtown Las Vegas. The lady was nice, she called in the room 30 minutes before check-out to make sure we were getting ready, she was nice. We felt secure in the room, et the facilities were operational and of good quality.

The neon, twinkling lights of vintage Vegas are on full display downtown at the Fremont Street Experience, a five-block area that features a few of the city’s longest-operating casinos, a pedestrian mall, and an overhead electronic canopy for laser and light shows. Downtown Las Vegas also houses city hall, the 18b Arts District, and a large outlet mall.
