The bed sheets were dirty, the bed spread had brown stains. The chairs and cupboards were sticky and had liquids spilled on them. The television did not have a remote control. The towels were hard, not soft.
Although this hotel is in the middle of a town; don't let that deceive you. The property is very pretty, the entrance foyer is very nice and the inside is nice as well. The pool area is relaxing and the foliage all around is beautiful. My experience with the front counter staff was very pleasant; greeted with a great personality and smile. I did get my free drink as well, although the bartenders personality left much to be desired. My room was nice aside from a few cosmetic issues and the LOUD A/C....don't stay in room 423 until the noise gets fixed; the train comes through occasional which is kind of neat. All in all my stay here was just fine for the price, I really could not complain.
hotel bar and club room staff excellent,
maintenance surly couldn't care less and receptionist at check in indifferent at check out great.
Maintenance comment, the temp in the club room was 83 club staff call maintenance they came pointed thermometer at a/c outlet in ceiling and said its OK, temp at seating level still 83+ he then walked away almost laughing club unusable due to temp.
Next to railway line and main road so noisy if your room backs onto these
Nice hotel, but breakfast could be included with that price. Coming back from our trip we stayed at another hotel, it was fine also, but they served a very good breakfast and their prices was much less.
Although North Fort Lauderdale is mostly residential, many visitors go to enjoy the surf at Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach. Abundant marine life in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea makes for excellent diving. Just north of downtown, Wilton Manors is a well-known gay enclave. In Coconut Creek, butterflies, parrots, and hummingbirds fly freely at Butterfly World, the world's largest butterfly park.
