I am unsure how a stay is scored as "terrible" 1 out of 5 when yiu state it was closed. The Freeholder stopped us trading , not our decision. Expedia did contact you to arrange a new hotel

We were told to pack up and leave immediately because the hotel had been repossessed. I had to quickly find a new place to stay, which cost significantly more due to the short notice, and no time to compare prices and hotels. Plus, a totally wasted, and frustrating day out of our vacation.

we apologise for the experience which was beyond our control, we are dealing with an unscupulous man in Jersey who runs a chity yet treates people in an awful manner. We have a court case with him in Jan 2024 but he proceeded with a fast surpise eviction which we never believed he would . the staff were also thrown out and this is all going to court

This property would have been a solid 2 star accommodation. Fairly clean. Old furniture, poor mattresses, but my unit did have a little kitchenette and a bathtub. The problem was 2 days into my 6 night stay they were forced to shut down so I had 5 minutes to gather my stuff and get out. It was 11:30 at night so I’m on the phone with Expedia and thank god we found accommodations within a few blocks. It was a more expensive and much nicer property but Expedia stepped up and covered the bill. Thank you Expedia you were my savior that night.

We are sorry for what happened this was after a long legal row with the alleged freeholder it was not our choice he sent in bailiffs and made us all leave , his name is Sir david Kirch who has a charity where he lives in Jersey and they threw out staff from accommodation they paid for who had a legal right to be there after 20 years service . he and his charity igored that with the backing of the court. Expedia has billed us for your new hotel

Reasonably priced but dated boutique hotel Zone 1.
Dated hotel with kitchen. Did not use, the water pot was not cleaned. Very weak shower water flow on 3rd floor. Smell of Marijuana and cigarette when outside and stinks inside the lift. Spacious room and close to Tube station and eatery. Good price for Zone 1. Needs improvement.

Curate's egg
This was very much the curate's egg. I've stayed before and returned because I had a positive experience. This time - not so much. There are many good points. Everything was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of sockets. What little staff interaction I had was very friendly. Less good were the total lack of any drawers anywhere or shelves in the bathroom or towel rails or hooks or basically any storage places other than a hanging wardrobe. The dodgy fridge - even when switched down to 3 was arctic ( I froze my salads and fizzy water solid the first night before I realised the settings were off). No dish drying towel or alternatively dish rack or even space for wet dishes. The shower was very good pressure wise but at bath tap level and without a shower curtain so either sit in the bath holding it or stand (holding it) and soak the bathroom. These are all manageable if not ideal. Less manageable is the lack of a single plug - not in the bathroom basin, the bath (why install a bath without a plug) or the kitchenette sink. Presumably there is a concern about guests flooding their apartments! Totally not okay was the absence of any light or light switch within the vicinity of the bed which meant groping about in the dark through the kitchenette to reach a switch or banging into the mezzanine ladder en route to or from the ensuite. However it is very competitively priced and perhaps that’s good for the money and I was extra lucky the first time?!

Great stay for the price
Overall it was a wonderful place. The room was a bit small, but I'm just a larger person so it was slightly crammed for my taste— but that's all down to personal preference. You get a mini fridge and microwave which is amazing, as you can actually buy groceries. The elevator was out of service when I arrived which was unfortunate but out of the hotels control. The woman that checked me in was very friendly. Room service knocks daily, so if you don't want that I would recommend getting a 'Do Not Disturb' sign for your door, as I personally felt overwhelmed as I usually didn't need it. The water for the shower is a bit difficult to adjust, but that could boil down to me just being dumb. The bed was quite comfortable, but the sheet was loose and not fitted so I often woke up to it being messed up since I toss in my sleep. Would've been better to have a proper fitted sheet on there. But again, definitely not a deal breaker. They were super friendly when I was checking out. Would definitely stay here again if I ever came back. Quite affordable and a very good location.

The Boka is fine for a budget stay overnight in London, but is very tired. My room unexpectedly has a fridge microwave and sink, as well as a second double bed on a mezzanine above the kitchenette. The bed was OK; I couldn't get hot water at all out of the shower (I discovered afterwards that there may have been a switch outside) and there were no towels when I arrived, although they were willingly produced. The area is generally quiet, but the large single glazed windows let in a surprising amount of noise from passers by. It's convenient for two tube lines, buses and Santander bikes.

Vesna was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and genuinely was interested in our trip and was so helpful. Offered to hold our luggage at the end of the trip and was always asking if we need anything. The hotel was actually pretty good. Stayed on ground floor in room 12 for one week. Having a kitchen was great and being so close to everything even better. Vesna really made the hotel for us as she was just so nice. The room was clean, and room service was daily. Even our dishes were cleaned, which we did not expect. Toiletries added daily. Only complaint is the mattress wasn’t that comfortable. I had the queen which I would suggest needs to be changed over. The single beds were apparently fine. Great location, very close to Earls Court and a large Tesco supermarket. Very handy having a fridge and a kettle. No toaster, but the stove top was handy. Also no dryer, but I expect that if I asked for one, it would have been supplied. On checkout I asked if they had a scale to weigh luggage, and Vesna said no not on hand, but had I asked her the day prior she would have brought her one from home. Again, amazing customer service - just couldn’t fault it! Great job!

A hidden gem
What an unexpected surprise this hotel was. For the cost, location and the room facilities I certainly can not complain. I will 100% stay again and recommend.

Cheap and great location
Excellent location, staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Very basic hotel but thats what we expected for the price. Everything is a bit tired and in need of a lick of paint. Room was basic but absolutely fine for a few days. More Attention to detail with cleaning is required. Room was a bit dusty and We had someones leftover toiletries still in the bathroom and the room floor was dirty. Bed was clean and comfortable. All in all it was ok and we would stay here again. For the price you are paying its fine. If you want luxury then you need to pay luxury prices

Not a great property, but not a terrible one either. Premises are somewhat clean (including the bedroom), dated (it's an old, 'classic' building), but conveniently located. Shower water pressure is absolutely horrible, almost like a dripping (literally): called the nice lady at the reception desk, she said that's it. Also, no shower curtain, so water splashing all over the place. Mattress is very old, sunken in from use, so be prepared. Small room with a nice kitchenette, surprisingly quiet, but rather hot (no a/c). Room cleaning everyday (sheets not changed, just towels), so no need to ask for it. TV is actually a small pc monitor. If you just need a quiet crash pad very close to the subway, that's your place. Otherwise you'll most likely be disappointed. But then, can't really expect a Hilton at this price point, right?

Re changing bed linen, you were here for 2 nights so no we would not change bed linen for a 2 night stay. mattress is a memory Foam matress designed to support the body. The bathroom was a bath with hand held shower.The TV is a flat screen TV just like any other tv these days

I am just so sorry I didn't take photos,as people would not believe how filthy the bedroom was.Then the toilet bath and sinks were disgusting .Had to go out and buy bleach before we could use them .But then when we came back at night.....the most awful smell coming up in the bathroom. Obviously the door had to be kept shut, the window in the bedroom would not open.

For the price we paid, this hotel was good value for money. Staff were friendly. The location was excellent, only a few mins walk to earls court tube station. We had booked a double room, it had a double bed, a kitchenette and a strange mezzanine level with an extra double mattress on the floor. The steps up to it were very steep though so didnt go up there. The bed was clean and fresh. Generally the room could do with updating, the furniture and kitchenette were dated and the walls could do with a paint. We weren't disappointed though, for the price we paid i dont think you could expect any more and if you are only using it as a base for a trip to london like we were, then i would recommend.

Hotel needs an overhaul. Dated decor and bedrooms that obviously hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival as hairs from the last guests were all over he bed leading me to believe linen hadn’t even been changed. No excuse for this whatsoever when paying so much for a room. Very disappointing.

Budget but comfortable.
This hotel is a budget hotel, it is very Central to London and just a short tube ride from Hyde Park. We stayed here after attending British Summertime in Hyde Park. Our room was compact but contained a double and single bed, bathroom with toilet sink and shower and a small kitchenette with kettle, fridge and microwave. We used only the kettle for a morning cuppa. Teabags, coffee and long life milk was supplied. My main issue was lack of opening window as it was very warm the evening we were there however there was a fan in the room. I felt the room was worth the money for the location and also the fact it was one of the busiest Saturdays of the year with lots of bands playing in and around the capital. It was clean although the building is quite old so it looks tired. I would stay here again for the right price think I paid £72 for 2 people for 1 night.

Where do I start, yes it's cheap but once paid and inside you enter something like fawlty towers. On entering the foyer it smelt like a tap room like someone had been smoking recently inside, enter the lift and turn round and greeted by toilet(picture included). On entering room all seems to be ok until door closes and you have a better look round, the microwave is filthy, the sink is filthy there is green muck on the taps also included picture, look round for towels there is none until we look on the level above where mattresses are on floor. On entering bathroom we find we have a bath with a shower attachment on taps, there is a lovely muck tide mark in the bath and loads of hair gunk in the plug hole, but we not a chance of even contemplating a bath as no plug, there was no plug for bathroom sink either and wait until you see the state of that tap, bath panel fixtures were half screws in, the wardrobe dirty and half unusable. We stored out suitcases under bed, when pulled out they were covered in dust and blonde long hairs. If you want to sleep in think again planes fly over early, someone changes towels very early making a hell of a noise, you live in fear of them just walking in whilst your getting dressed

During your 7 night stay you did not come and make a complaint at reception, yes on the day of arrival towels were late being put to rooms due to the laundry company delivery truck breaking down and then they weer placed. There is a plug for the bath and the sink has a lever plug not a plu in plugPlanes do fly over London so wherever you are you may here them, they fly alternate routes over London alternating direction , there are three airports in London so planes do have to fly.The wardrobe seems to be fine having checked .The bathroom has a bath tub and shower and you push the lever to switch the water from taps to shower.We are sorry you were unhappy and felt no need to speak to reception when here

Very basic room. Window rattles when wind blows. Uncomfortable bed and very thin pillows. Air vents full of dust and cobwebs. Freezer section of fridge was frozen.

We are sorry you found the hand made wooden beds with memory foam mattress uncomfrotable. As for windows rattling in the wind , I am unsure what wind , this has been a dry still and very warm period

Great location, within walking distance of both Earls Court and West Brompton underground stations. The hotel itself is comfortable, with excellent value rooms and friendly staff. I'd highly recommend.

From the narrow steep stairwell to the room door magically opening itself randomly to the seemingly pre-Victorian bathroom faucets, the squashy mattress, the view from the hardly operational slide windows would reveal nothing but a 30 foot high brick wall (Pink Floyd memento?) were it not for the tarp shelter down in the trench dwelled by at least one homeless person. The WC was new and tidy. The rest of the city was overwhelming, beautiful and fascinating.

The stair well is standard and not steep but standard style. The bathroom is of that design with some rooms with Victorian style taps etc if those rooms suit it which is in keeping with e Victorian building built in 1867The cover at the rear is currently protecting some items puchased for the hotel there is certainly no homless person sleeping there as I think you well know, the building has 24 hour staff and CCTV and no one can get to the rear, there is then a tall wall which seprates us from the old Exhibition Centre with its own 24 hour security behind that wall.

The two main things I need out of a lodging locality are sleeping and bathing. Unfortunately, the bed was tilted and very hard to sleep comfortably with two people, and there was not a good showering option. No shower curtain and the shower head merely dribbled. I was not comfortable bathing in the tub because the room was not very clean. I would also prefer screens on the windows because we needed to open them for air but the birds were right outside. The location is great however and the price is reasonable for London I suppose.

Your rub had a bathtub with handheld shower so no shower curtain and you will have noted in the centre of the bathroom floor to collect any water that may come from showering . If you had an issue with the showerhead you could have asked at reception for assistanceI am suprised you found the room unclean our previous reqiews have been very good for the roomThe windows do not have screens , theer wer howvere blinds you could use and open the windows, everywhere in the worl there are birds flying, they do not automatically fly in any open window We cannot see what you mean by the bed titling, it is a relatively new wooden hand made bed by a company that makes beds for homes and hotels etc We are sorry you were so unhappy
