Great location.

Great location for Royal Albert Hall, Hyde park, and Kensington area. The hotel is very nicely presented. The downside for us was the small room.

Refurbishment continues at a good pace. My room was freshly done, quite lovely, and remarkably spacious. Staff was on hand to check me in, even long before normal check-in hours, and did not charge me a premium for early check-in (about 2 hours early). They had a little difficulty finding my prepayment record, but gamely continued searching the system until they found it. The location is absolutely stunning, half a block from Kensington Gardens and only a five-minute walk to the restaurants and shops on Kensington High Street. This hotel is an excellent quality for the price, and I will certainly stay here again.

Staff is super nice & helpful. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of buffet style offerings. Older building could hear the people upstairs walking around all night. Thankfully they were kind enough to move me to a quieter room. Carpets are worn in the room. Perfect location near Kensington Palace.

Enjoyable stay

Great location near Kensington Palace. Nice old house. Pleasant personnel. Good (not amazing) breakfast. Everything in good/great condition except that the carpet in our bedroom needed to be replaced (old and dirty). Small room (par for the course).

Idyllinen. Todella pieni hotelli ja vanha - hometta selkeästi huoneissa. Huoneet todella pieniä vrt. kuviin. Hississä haisi viemäri. Melko likaiset huoneet - pölyä nurkissa. Aamupala aivan mitätön - muutama leipä ja valmismuropaketteja.

Excelente hotel há 10 minutos caminhando da estação High Street Kensington,muitas lojas,restaurantes e Whole Foods perto...O Palácio de Kensington fica há 3 minutos a pé. O hotel oferece um delicioso café da manhã com pães e croissants quentinhos.O atendimento na recepção eh cordial. Super recomendo!!!

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Das Hotel liegt ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß von den U-Bahn Stationen High Street Kensington und Gloucester Road entfernt. Der Empfang war freundlich. Das Zimmer hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Es war sauber, nett eingerichtet und es gab alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigte. Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee war vorhanden, es war angenehm warm im Raum, TV und WLAN funktionierten und es gab sogar Bademantel und Bügeleisen. Auch ein kostenloses Wasser war bereitgestellt. Auch im Bad gab es nichts zu bemängeln. Die Ablage dort war ausreichend groß und die Beleuchtung war hell. Generell war es ruhig im Hotel. Auch nach dem Auschecken konnte man das Gepäck noch im Hotel lassen und es wurde sicher verwahrt. Ich hatte auf jeden Fall einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und komme gern wieder.

Overall great place and price but...

Great location and amazing breakfast for the price of the stay but as usual single room very small though spotless. However television not working. No info re wi fi sign in either in the room or on the card holding the key. Apparently it was in reception but not pointed out. No way in the room to contact reception to ask so any query like this meant a trip 4 floors down to reception. Having said all this for £50 it was amazing value and I would recommend and will certainly stay again.

Fantastic service, great hotel

Service was fantastic and the receptionists were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was very good and room was very nice and comfortable. Great value for money, would highly recommend. :)

Ideal location for Royal Albert Hall

Older hotel with friendly staff and decent continental breakfast. The bed was comfortable and nice clean bathroom with lovely white soft fluffy towels, good shower with loads of hot water. The room itself was smaller than expected and downside, there was no drawers only shelves inside a small cupboard which was impossible to put anything in as the shelves faced sideways not to the front with a few hangers for hanging clothes above an ironing board with iron on high shelf above. There was coffee,tea and kettle and bottle of water. Wifi reception was a problem as kept buffering when trying to watch a tennis match. Excellent location for Royal Albert Hall about 7-10 minute walk.

This is a lovely hotel in an even lovelier area. The room we had was adequate though snug, no extra room for sure. The bathroom was spacious by London standards. The furnishings were adequate though a dresser would have been helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel serves a lovely breakfast that surpassed our expectations. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel is well worn and adequately kept up. The location is fabulous, just blocks from Kensington Gardens and the Palace. A decent walk to the tube station and many restaurants to choose from in the area makes it a convenient location.

We really enjoyed it here. Location is amazing. Surprisingly quiet for being right of Kensington High Street. Very romantic. Decent bed, not great/not bad We are pretty sure it's haunted after our stay, but we still really enjoyed it!

Tolle Lage!!

Super Standort in South Kensington, in einer ruhiger Straße 50 mt vom Kensington Road bzw. Park. Perfekt für einen Besuch zum Royal Albert Hall (5 Min. zu Fuß) oder die tollen Museen: Natural Hisory, Science und Victoria und Albert (15 min. zu Fuß). Das Hotel ist wunderschön von außen, aber von innen in die Jahre gekommen. Aber ok, die Preis-Leistung ist super, der inklusive Frühstück war auch gut. Mein Einzelzimmer war sehr klein aber ausreichend. Das Badezimmer auch sehr klein, der Vorhang an der Dusche zu kurz. Aber so ist es mal, wenn mann sich die teuren Hotels in der Gegend nicht leisten kann :-)
