The Scandic is a very nice hotel; I have stayed here before, and this time stayed for just one night on a business trip. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, with excellent English as you'd expect. The rooms are comfortable, with everything you'd need - the hotel is not expensive, so some little touches are missing, but for the money, it's great. Breakfast is served buffet style, and the selection is very wide, and there is plenty of space to find a table. Free wi-fi in the rooms works very well, and in some of the more expensive rooms, there is a complimentary mini-bar. The only improvement would be room service, if you don't feel like going to the restaurant for dinner, but I guess this is how they keep the room costs down. Very close to Potsdamer Platz, and right next to Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park station, so very easy to get to, and the Berlin S-bahn and U-bahn are very easy to navigate.

Easy to get to from Tegel. Handy for S and U bahn. Close to Alexanderplatz and several former border crossing points. Couple of fast food outlets nearby. Rooms basic but clean. Shower excellent. Coffee, tea, beer etc available 24 hours from machines. Staff excellent and friendly. Cash point outside. Bar in hotel quite good. Pool table next to bar. Small TV in rooms (free). Surrounding area fairly quiet. If you're taking the wife for a romantic weekend, go somewhere else, but if you are intending to see Berlin, you won't find better for the price. Rooms very secure.

From the personalised welcome by the doorman on arrival, to the escorting to our beautiful room by the ex pat Beefeater, this hotel could not be faulted.

Very helpful staff and a high standard of accomodation. The hotel was quiet and well situated for access to local amenities and travel into city centre.

Good location with S Bahn only 100 m away. Rooms modern and comfortable. Staff were very efficient and very helpful.

One word can describe my experience in this hotel: COMFORTABLE. Contemporary interior design makes room elegant and stylish, lifting your mood and boosting your energy. Bed is very clean, sheets are all new. We stayed there for 3 nights; my husband was on a business trip. One day he was working in the room and saw stuff cleaning the room, changing sheets. He said the stuff (a man) worked skillfully; changing sheet was super fast, very professional. Only design I don’t like is water pot and cups are hiding in a compartment of closet. When water is boiling steam makes the compartment too moisture, the design is not scientific, also doesn't match the style. Free breakfast buffet is very nice, many kinds of healthy food, verity of fruits and vegetables and looks very fresh. Hope the hotel can keep this quality.

a wonderful hotel with great facilities, views and very friendly and helpful staff. the room itself was also very nice with good capabilities. a balcony with a good view too. TV had good variety of channels and it was an easy set-up to use my laptop through the HDMI port. Internet was also very quick and hassle free. Hotel kindly left Ethernet cable plugged in so i just plugged it straight into my nano wireless N router which gave us 5 bars of WiFi. (was 5 bars on laptops anyway but helped for mobile devices) All staff were very friendly and helpful. They all spoke very good English too which was great. i honestly don't have anything bad to say about this hotel, not even any little niggles. i highly recommend it !

Cosy, relaxing, good food, excellent staff, excellent room/s. Nothing too much for the staff especially the reception.

From the welcome upon arrival to checking out after 3 nights our stay was excellent. The hotel facilities were great and I would highly recommend this hotel.
