Best time to travel to Berlin

Peak Season:

From May to September, the weather in this city is usually mild and pleasant. It is important to book flights before the start of the peak season, as tourists tend to crowd the streets during this period. This fact is not surprising, as the wonderful climate makes visiting the Zoologischer Garten, relaxing at the Prater beer garden, or taking a Berlin City Hop-on Hop-off Tour a delightful experience.

Shoulder Season:

The shoulder season in Berlin lasts from October to December. Around Christmastime, the city bursts with tourists; however, the rest of the season is quiet, making flights to Berlin relatively inexpensive. Since the weather during this spell can be bracing, these months are excellent for taking in some of the indoor attractions, like the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche and the Deutsches Theatre.

Off Season:

From January to April, Berlin sees a lull in tourism. Despite that, this is a great time to go, as the city comes alive with events, like the Berlin International Film Festival, Karneval, and Lange Nacht der Museen.
