“Something is Missing”
One complaint - for redress by EXPEDIA or the Langham. Expedia's website offered "Cruise Special" at a higher price than the standard room. We selected this, anticipating breakfast inclusion, or an upgraded room or other special benefit. The hotel registration desk rejected all importuning to provide anything beyond the basic room, which they stated was our reservation. Nice room, well kept, but something is missing here!
“Lovely Hotel”
This is a lovely hotel with great reception and concierge staff. Also very clean. It is a bit of a walk to the city centre but they run a good shuttle bus service every 30mins.
“A lovely hotel”
Great place to stay, an exceptional hotel with excellent service. Left some articles in room, hotel followed up. Great location to museum and walking distance to viaduct (or take the shuttle bus that leaves every half hour). You do pay extra for Internet services but this seems to be the norm in New Zealand. Pool and spa facilities are lovely.
“An almost perfect stay”
Almost a perfect stay except from the dreadful noise that we could hear from the restaurant which was beneath our room.
“very impressed”
A great hotel in a convenient area of Auckland. Close to amenities and the CBD. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a great spa.
“Always a luxurious treat”
The best thing about this hotel is the spa area, where you can relax and swim in heated luxury in the lap pool or simply sit in the spa. Inside. an array of showers and saunas make you feel you have had 'an experience' rather than just a visit to the pool. But also this is a very classy extablishment and you feel the luxury everywhere.
“Very impressed”
Wonderful, friendly service, very comfortable room. After a long flight to Auckland, they allowed us to check in early in the morning.
“Best 5 star we have stayed at”
From the time of arrival, even before we checked the quality of service was noted. We could see effort was made at all places. The free use of internet in designated areas was a pleasant welcome. Food at the restaurant was of a very high standard, and service was impeccable. We cant wait to spend more time there. Neel and Joanne
“Top of the Line”
This is a 5 star hotel in every sense of the word.
“Good experience”
The hotel was beautiful...big lobby with people coming and going all the time, very metropolitan. New Zealand is a bit pricey to Americans and the food in this hotel is costly. It is located in an Asian section of town so there are other food choices, but they are mostly Asian. The other thing I didn't realize is that Aukland is VERY hilly, like San Francisco. We like to walk, but the streets were SO steep that even walking downhill was a challenge. Forget about walking back. The hotel does offer a shuttle and it's the only way to go back. The shuttle goes between downtown (where the action is) and the hotel. The room was very nice and they have free internet, with terminals on two floors. I thought that was very classy. The only surprise was how low to the ground the beds were. They were very comfortable but it's a shock when you sit down on the bed, and again when you get out. We had twin beds (singles, to them) and maybe that made a difference. Over all, we were very impressed!
