"Lovely quiet and restful stay. The hot tub is fab and the lodge is comfy, well equipped, clean and done out to a high standard. We really enjoyed our stay and will return sometime to further explore the wonderful Forest of Dean."

"We booked at the last minute for a 2 night stay and was delighted with the log cabin which was spotless. The use of the garden was an added bonus being able to walk around rather than being restricted to our terrace. Clive and Kaeron were good hosts being friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it very much."

"The quirky nature of the Shepherds Hut combined with the superb location were what appealed to us & we were 'not' disappointed! The Hut was beautiful & incredibly well kitted out with everything you could need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch & very much appreciated. We travelled with our pet dog & it was reassuring to be able to close the gate & know he was safe & secure. It was lovely to be able to watch the alpacas in the field by the hut too! This is a fantastic place to stay & unwind...

"Friendly welcome. Everything set up and ready for on arrival, including coffee, tea, milk, bread, butter & jam. The Hobbit House is tiny, but so well designed, and it just feels so cozy. Good size patio and gorgeous outdoor furniture, including chairs, side tables, table & benches, gas bbq and fire pits with logs. Really, just the perfect rural retreat. Pub (The Rising Sun) and local shop within walking distance. We're already planning our return!"

"We really enjoyed our stay, The shepherds hut exceeded our expectations, well equipped, cosy and in a great private location overlooking the forest. The hut was so lovely and warm with central heating and a log burner, the bed was comfortable, and the fixtures and fittings looked brand new. Also the rainfall shower was a lovely surprise. "Thank you so much! We enjoyed our stay soooo much! We are a bunch of six ladies (childhood friends) having a long over due catchup weekend! All we wanted was a hot tub so we booked this little getaway. They were so accommodating, a welcome bottle of procesco waiting for us, chocolates, hot chocolate, tea and coffee as well as having a box of thing in the cabin in case you forgot them, like paracetamol and new toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner which we thought was just a lovely touch! "Room was quite superior! Staff accommodating and friendly. Fleece Inn pub was delightful and great food. Bed was very comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave nice. Struggled with the expresso machine."

"The main road is noisy until the traffic dies down later on in the evening. The metal framed windows, even when shut, let through a high volume of road traffic noise. It was a period of unusually high temperatures by day and night when we stayed and the room we stayed in was in the loft space and therefore really warm and so the windows had to be kept open most of the time. This is by no means a complaint merely a note for other people who stay in the loft apartment who may not be as comfortable...
